Likes
- What i most liked about the university is the campus. the campus is spread on across 247 acres. As such the whole university campus is very beautiful but naseem bagh area is particularly beautiful
- professors are very friendly and have hold the subject they teach
Dislikes
- the major issues i have faced in my university are lack of basic structure , management of the university is very weak and administration process are slow.
- less exposure to industry, internship oportunities are very limites.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curricullum are mostly outdated and need to be reviewed . there are courses which have very well structured curriculum which do help students to grow in their feild. exams are held usually on time sometimes exams are delayed as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is different for each course and it keep changing yearly. I had to pay between 3 to 5 thousand as yearly fee, since i was a private candidate my fee was relatively on lower side.Fee structure also depends upon the category, if someone is from SC the fee structure is slightly low and fee structure can also depend merit of a students. it varies for different courses my over fee was just 3 to 5 thousand, there was no other fee fo my course.Private students are independent candidates and i didnt had chance to meet other students of my batch.
Campus Life
campus life is hetic. curriculum is draining and faculty memebers are not quite involved . however alot of festivals do take place in the universities. i mitly take part in the cultural workshops and seminars.
Admission
i had only appied to this college because i only had option to study in kashmir. KU is the best university in the kashmir which has profound faculty and decent reputation. Most of the collegees are affiliated with KU only. this is the maina choice of the students who ant to study in kashmir.
Faculty
Everyone's experience is very different. there are faculty members who are very good and they will defeinetly help you grow but at the same time you would see faculty memebers who dont teach at all . they just take their salary and put no efferots in the classroom, infact their are faculty memebers who are rude to students are dont have any idea of maintaing and undersatnding of student- teacher realationship.
Night Life
There is ni night life in kashmir, henceforth there is ni night life in the university as well. since i didnt live in the hostel i dont know much about that. but i have heard from students that hostels are pretty good and well maintained
