Good courses for knowledge but placements are not upto mark. Ropar is small town so for enjoying city life you have to go Chandigarh which is 50 km away. Also Ropar is not that much famous time people don't know that IIT is there in Ropar

Good course for research but don't expect much placement.Some of courses are really tough, should be careful while selecting electives.Maths is compulsory subject for all streams,but grading is absolute.

Yes, college provide internships. But you have to work hard for internship, proffesor will only recommend you but converting it into internship is based your Tallent. Rolls Royce provide internship, stipend will be approx 20k, foreign internship includes NSU Singapore, Universities in Germany, 2000 euro, University in Taiwan etc.

Placement for Mtech is not much. But college will provide you opportunities to sit for various companies but generally they prefer BTech over Mtech. Some R &D companies will come especially for Mtech but very less in no. Placement is better for design branch than any other.

Various events are organised like advitiya tech fest. Last year baja sciendia (By robotics club sponsored by Mahindra) cultural fest Zeitgeist, and various events organised by different different club.

Feasible, as it is government funded college, also provide stipend 12400/- per month by ministry of human resources grant. You don't need money from home for monthly expenditure. Internship opportunities will also be there.

College have SBI bank in the campus, you can apply for loan in this bank by submitting necessary documents they take very less time in sanctioning loan. Interest will be paid by IIT within course duration. After completion of course you have to pay loan amount.

Excellent facilities for labs as they are newly built provides best facilities to learn. We have newly built football and cricket stadium of international standards. Gym is also there in hostel which any one can avail any time in 24 hours

Hostel is newly built having five star griha rating awarded by government of India. Single rooms will be allotted to students.Campus is newly built on the bank of satluj of more than 500 acre of land.

They are extremely helpful. They will also guide you for selecting proper guides and research papers. Also while selecting courses and topics of research. they will help while applying for PhDs in various universities.

Exam is divided between mid semester and end semester. weightage depends upon instructor only. Sum proffesor take class test and attendance for considering grades. Some doesn't give weightage to attendence.

I got admission in this college by GATE which is conducted by IIT from which I scored 75 marks. They release cutoff for admission.They will call many students but admission is based on gate score only.No interview for mechanical stream.Admission is based only on gate score.

Faculties are nice and very supportive. But most of courses are based on mathematics. One should have good background to understand. Generally they set easy questions for tough papers. One research paper is must for completing degree.
