IIT Dhanbad really worth it

The course curriculum of the college is very good. The tests are designed to assis student in every aspect. And exam consists of 3 stage which I like the most Even if one of the exam didn't went well student can make a comeback in other two. The courses are designed so that students can apply that knowledge in real life. The courses related to machine learning and Blockchain technology is introduced to prepare the students for future. Although there is scope of improvement. In first year some courses are very old Which might not contribute to the demands of the today's world. So these should be changed. Midsem exam is of 2 hr - easy- moderate Endsem exam is of 3 hr- easy-moderate

Intership opportunities are provided at starting of 3rd year and it continues till that year Famous tech giants like google , amazon, microsoft visits campus and provides 3 month intership with stripend And also provides pre placement offer

During the last semester of 4th year Companies visits the college to provide job offers to student Which is around month of December. google, Goldman Sachs, microsoft, uber, amazon, flipkart and many other big tech giant often visits our college. Total offers made till now is around 600 Highest package is around 68 lakh on campus and 1.5 cr off campus. Average package is around 18 lakh. 90% of the students are placed every year from my institute. My plan is to be placed in big tech giant like google.

252000/- is the yearly fees of the institute including hostel fee,mess fee and tution fee for general and OBC category 38000/- is the yearly fees of the institute including hostel,mess and tution fee for ST/Sc students. Institute provides support for economically weaker students by fee waiver and various scholarship programs If the annual family income is below 1 lakh The yearly fees will be 19000/- Between 1 lakh to 5 lakh 52000/- Also scholarships are provided on merit basis If the student performs well in the semester exams Fee waiver is offered to them as a token of appreciation.

We have our cultural fest srijan which is easy India's largest fest Held in month of February every year Our technical fest concetto held every year in month of September. Our central library is Asia's second largest library, consisting of millions of books And students can use the library for self study aswell. Centralised AC is there. Clubs and sports facilities are excellent in the institute. Students can make good use of it as per their need.

Room consists of two beds , two almirah and 2 study table. Meal quality is average don't expect much Menu keeps on changing every day. Hostel is provided during admission process and fees is around 12000 per month And hostel is very good.

I cleared jee advanced in 2023, so yes i had opportunity to join old iits as well. But the branch i was getting there was not of my interest. So I choose iit dhanbad because I was getting mathematics computing as I have interest in mathematics and it also consists of subject of computer science. You have to clear jee advanced in order to get admission in iit dhanbad. Cutoff of my branch was around 4000 CRL.

The faculty to student ratio is very good. Teaching assistant are also there to guide students along with the professor. The professors are very approachable and very talented. They give their best so that students do not face any difficulties. The exams of every subject consists of 2 quizzes, midsems exam and endsem exam. 2 quiz of 10 marks Midsem of 40 marks Endsem of 50 marks I would rate the exams to be easy to moderate And it also depends on the subject as well

Student gymkhana is there which provides student with gym and sports facilities. Cafeteria is there in every corner of the institute. Library is 2nd largest in asia Campus is closed by 10 pm Hostel timing is 11 pm Famous hangout places is ruby garden and main Canteen.
