Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course was really good and I took all the information about farming and technology involved. And now my aim is to become successful farmer. And my intrest is in IFS and winery. Course is about farming, cultivation, processing. So we can set up our own startups and to be a good entrepreneur.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. I had done my internship in the village which is near by sirsi. They are TSS, nursery, cashwe industry, juice industry. From that internship I got so much knowledge and critical points to start our own business.

Placements are less but we have much job opportunities such as ADA, AHO and privates jobs such as reliance fresh, fertilizer company, chemical and pesticides company, interior ornamental designer, nursery men, flower breeder, seed production plots of our own.

First freshers party arranged by our seniors, invited talks and all Agricultural days like water day, forest day, horticulture day, and freedom fighter days. Annival gathering, college day, hostel day, sports day. Youth festival

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure was not high. All kind of students can pay their fees. Fees normally 8-9 K per sem. And hostel fees up to 3000 per month, library fees, sports fees, maintain fees all included in college fees only. It is feasible as we use to get scholarships.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah continuous 4 year I got Vidyasiri scholarship which is based on caste and income and marks obtained by the students. I got 17 K, 19k, 9k, 19 K respectively from first year to final year. All used to get scholarships except whose income is more than limit

I was very interested in sports such as table tennis, kabbaddi, volleyball. In intercollegiate sports meet I got 2nd price in table tennis. I used to sing English songs just for hobby. In Rhwe I had dance with friends

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel infrastructure was really awesome with green lawn and chairs in the middle of green to study. And border plants of almanada cateritica and jasmine and some ornamental coconut trees. And have so many rose and dahlia flowers and some vegitable we grown

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah all are very helpful especially seniors who taught us good lesson by scolding and little of ragging. All seniors used to give notes and they were already there to solve our doubts related to exam and study.

Exam Structure

It is like AQ for 10 marks which is mark alloted by each question started from 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 marks. Midterm is for 25 marks. Practicle is for 10 marks and attendance 5 marks. Above all is internal assessment. For external exam 50 marks paper with 3 hour time containing multiple question, fill in the blanks and long answers.

Admission

First I wrote common entrance exam. After that I applied Agriculture special quota practicle exam. In that I got 630 ranking. And I applied online option entry. In mock allotment I got seat in bidar College. After that finally I got seat in sirsi horticulture College. I had submitted all of my documents and I paid fees of academic and hostel fees.

Faculty

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was very well structured with both theoretical and Practical exposure. The curriculum is designed in such a way that they are very relevant to real world , this also prepare the students to the real world applications and further academic pursuits. The improvements can be made in the practical part of the courses. There must be regular field visits and utilisation of funds to bring innovation. The internal exam would be after 2 to 2.5 months after the commencement of the semester and practical exams would be immediately after 10 days of the internals. The external or final exams would be after a month of practical exams. There will be enough time to prepare for the exams from the commencement of the semester but there will be no study holidays and gaps between the exams.
