Course Curriculum Overview

4

You can choose you timetable and staffs for each semister depending upon your cgpa. Priority given to 9gpa students followed by day scholars followed by hostellers Cat exams are 1.5hrs and 50marks. Fat exams are 3hrs and 100marks. Good curriculum and facilities

Placement Experience

4

Mostly all students get placements. Many companies like tata, google, and Amazons are visited. From 7th semister everyone is eligible of doing internships and campus placements. I heard the highest package ever got is 88lhks and average package is 9lkhs. My plans in the future is to get into a cse core company and grow in that field.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 198000 for my tuition fee and 242000 for my hostel fee. There are 2 groups A and B fees differ by 20thousand depending upon the group. And there are 5 category from which you can be charged from 1.98lkh to 5lkh tuition fee.

Campus Life

5

On the starting of every year cultural are happening. In vit chennai the cultural fests name is VIBRANCE. And a technical fest is also made named TECHNOVIT. Every types of books are available in the library which is air conditioned and 3 stories. Every class has a desk for 2 peoples and a smart board with projectors for teaching. There are more than 100clubs in the college covering all sorts of things.

Hostel Facilities

4

Ok so the room is quite small. I stay in a 6bedroom room with 3 two member bunker beds with seperate desks and cupboard for each. Food is not complainable. You get all sorts of food and special foods for festival times. Hostel process is made with the college registration process which is quite self-discovery

Admission

I applied for SRM and got cse core. Amrita I got ECE. But the fee was too high compared to VIT. Tho both of them give similar education and facilities, SRM is on the higher side which made me choose VIT. I don't regret choosing vit because it is worth the fee. VITEEE has to be written to get into vit. Cutoffs are based on ranks. You'll get vit vellore or chennai if your rank is below 1lakh

Faculty

3

So each class has approx 65 students appointed to 1 faculty. I liked all of my faculties in particular. You have to attend two small exams cat1 and cat2 where the cat2 is open book test and a final exam fat. Exam is on the easier side to clear. But getting 9+ gpa is difficult

Night Life

4

There is both paid and unpaid gym. Paid gym is 6k per semester and we'll maintained with AC and gym trainers. Whereas the unpaid one is located on every hostel block ground floor. Hostel in time is 9pm and college in time is 6.30pm. inside the campus there are plenty of food shops and seating area.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITM] | Bachelor of Science [BS] (Data Science and Applications)

I wasn't able to get into iit madras

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculums are good (it depends on depts) and they are updated and new electives/ cbcs are added thus updating curriculum and there are subject with heavy lab which don't have end sem instead lab and only internal which is not what other colleges have. they also have open book test for subjcts like programming languge so students can focus on learning the language instaed of memorizing. however as we are batch of a new regulation we are not aware of kind of questions that would come. however forthcoming batches won't be having this issue. unlike other collges only 2 internal exams and 1 semester is conducted. both the internal is given equal weightage ( having unit 1&2 and 3&4 for each exams) and retest is also conducted for internal however even if one exam not written they need to write all 4 unit incase of health issues etc. 50% internal and 50% external. so if having good internal can easlity score well in total. However if one fails to secure internal then passing the subject becomes very hard. Core subjects however prepares well for real-world. however i feel curriculums should be slightly revised so that students learn everyhting systematically instead of memorizing. Sometimes academic calendars are not given prior

According to my college official website, so far in this year, the students here have got over 3000 placements by March and the number keeps growing. They don't specifically share the exact amount the students are placed for but the highest this year so far is 43.5 LPA. And this has been consistent over last few years.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are moderate but improving each year. The placement cell conducts aptitude training, coding practice sessions, resume building workshops, and mock interviews to help students prepare for recruitment. Every year several companies visit the campus for placements and offer roles in fields such as software development, core engineering, and technical support. On average, a good number of students from each batch get placed, especially those who maintain good academic performance and technical skills. The average salary package offered is around ?3–5 LPA, while some students receive higher packages depending on their skills and the company. Apart from campus placements, many students also apply for off-campus opportunities, internships, or choose to pursue higher studies such as M.Tech or MBA to improve their career prospects. Overall, the college provides decent placement support and guidance for career development.
