Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am pursuing BTech in artificial intelligence and machine learning. This program offers a comprehensive foundation, none of the most dynamic and rapidly Evolving fields and technology . Overall, the curriculum structured to provide students with both the theoretical understanding and practical skills in AI and ML. However, there are few areas where it could be improved to better align with industry needs and enhance learning outcomes. The curriculum is largely aligned with the current trends in AIML . There is also a good mix of programming courses which are fundamental for implementing AI algorithms. While the curriculum covers a wide range of foundational and intermediate topics, it could offer more specialised intellective or advanced courses in emerging of field such as AI for healthcare, Robotics etc. these could allow students to specialise and explore specific areas of interest in more depth.

Internships Opportunities

4

Our college provides excellent internship opportunities for BTech students. The college has strong industry collaborations, ensuring students gain hand on experience in real world, AI and ML applications. The companies that offers the internships are such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The stipend that they offer varies from 5000 to 15,000. During internship, students work on real world, AIML projects that enhance their practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

4

The students are eligible for placement in sixth semester. College provides training and placement programmes where they conduct lectures regarding placements, like aptitude, java,C++, lectures on soft skills.During placements there are few good companies like Accenture, amazon, google and deloitte which come for recruitment. The placement percentage of the college is around 40%.Till now the highest package is around 65 lacs and average is between 8-9 lacs

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure here is relatively standard . The tuition fees for my program is 130000 per year , with additional costs of 33000 as i am a wailing college transport. I am pursuing Bachelor's Of Technology (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) . Regarding scholarships, our college offers a few merit based and need based scholarships, which has helped several students. Over the past few years, there has been a gradual increase in the fee structure, mainly attributed to better facilities. The college plays a major role in providing placements to the students. They have made a special department called TPP department ( Training and Placement Program) which ensures that all the skills that are required for placement are taught to students. They conduct various trainings and certification courses that helps build the skills that are required for a better placement. There are different events that are being organised by various clubs that helps students enroll and improve themselves. In conclusion, I would like to say that the college provides a well - rounded education and gives all the tools that are required to get a good job. My advice to upcoming students is that get involved as much as you can and the most of resources available to you.

Every special day and festival as well as occasion is celebrated in the college, which makes the college life really interesting and interactive. Overall, the campus , the classrooms and all the clubs makes the college life more interesting.

Admission

When I was deciding which college to attend for my BTech in artificial intelligence and machine learning, I considered several factors including the quality of education, Faculty, expertise, infrastructure, and industry connections. After comparing multiple options, I found that my current college to doubt in several ways, even though also apply to other reputed colleges. One of the main reasons I choose this college is a highly qualified and experienced faculty. I asked various students who have done their graduation from this college and all of them have given positive reviews regarding the placements and the other facilities that are being provided in this college, which helped me in deciding the right college for me. Though I did apply to other well-known colleges, some of them did not meet my expectations for certain reasons.

Faculty

4

The faculty of our college is one of its standout features. The professor of highly qualified with many possessing advanced degree and relevant professional experience in their respective fields. They are approachable and encourage interaction both inside and outside the classroom. Overall, the teaching quality is strong, though there are occasional variations depending on the department. The course structure is generally well organised and covers abroad range of topic. For most courses, the curriculum is a mix of theoretical learning and practical applications. Lectures are accompanied with assignments, group projects and case studies which allow students to apply what they have learned. The exam system is designed to evaluate both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. There are two mid semester exams that are being conducted in one semester. And at the end of the semester, the final exams are conducted. The marking scheme is fairly transparent with clear guidelines about how assignments, projects and exams are graded.

Night Life

4

There are various cafeterias available in the college and the food that they offer is really hygienic and tasty. There are different variety of foods that are available in the cafeteria and they are really affordable too. The decorum of the cafeteria is really attractive, and it's great to click photos. Every block consist its own library and its own canteen. There is also a central library, which is accessible by all the students . The campus area is really safe to roam around, though there are also some dogs . The The college timings are from 9:15 AM to 4:35 PM and after 4:35, no scholar is allowed in the college. The timing for hostlers vary for both girls and boys. There are gyms in the hostels for both girls and boys, which has all the equipments that are required in a gym. There are really pretty parks in the college and there are also other available places where you can hang out with your friends.

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.
