Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum always feels hectic . I felt difficulty to keep up with the ongoing syllabus . There will be two internal examinations and a prefinal exam before final university exams. If we can keep up with the syllabus daily its pretty easy .

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first year i paid - 24000/-+ 4000/- 2nd year - 22000/- 3rd year- 18000/- Final year - 15000/- I had no scholarship benefit but jvd is given to the implied categories of students . Fee is affordable. For a hosteller montly fee of around 5000/- is charged for mess, laundry, maintanence.

Campus Life

4

Anually there will be a sports day and a college day organized by the respective final year students of that year . Mostly the events will be held in the october . In my final year we organized college day event - Aavirbhav and Sports day - Ranarang. Freshers day will be organized after a month of joining of freshers. Library is accassible with every edition of the author. Theres alos a wifi supply for online study. Students run a newsletter called - Rangarayan.

Admission

I applied to aims medical college - mangalgiri.i didn't get admission into that due to my rank . In the state counselling i applied for Rangaraya Medical college as i was a local . For my marks i was given admission in the first round itself. I chose to opt for this college as the affiliated hospital is a big hospital with all the specialities and i can get a good clinical exposure .

Faculty

4

Faculty are well experienced doctors . Very approachable and provide us with good explanation to topics . Good clinical Demonstration on patients. In the first year there are three subjects to clear. In the second year there are three subjects 3rd yr - 2 subjects Final year - 10 subjects

4

Gym is opened recently in the campus. There is indoor shuttle court, baseball court, volley ball court, tennis court . Classes starts at 8 in the morning .clincial postings starts at 9 up till 12 .lunch break around 1-2 pm and classes from 2-4. For ladies hostel - we should be in the hostel by 8'o clock in the night .there is astrict security check. Canteen is a good place to hamgout inside the campus. Beach, park, coringa sanctuary- these are good places to hamg out.

Placement Experience:

There is no such thing as campus placement in medical courses.. we are provided with internship with the linked hospital with an approximate stipend of 30k per month for a year and after that we receive the course completion certificate and we can either practice in a clinic or pursue the post graduation upon our interests..

My choice for this profession is that,it gives highest level of respect It is the Profession to save the lives of people The life which was taken away by the evil can be dragged back by the doctors The first year's dissection of cadavers,2nd 3rd 4th year's gives the experience to treat any case and to overcome the fear of blood No improvements needed in our college,as everything seems perfect Timing is planned by expertise, frequency of exams is very accurate and gives boost to remember every topic

Course Curriculum Overview:

1}the specific aspect that influenced my decision are my parent and relatives who hold the social stigma of being a doctor can give a secured life whereas nowadays doctor is one of the most vulnerable profession due to the incidents that are happening recently 2}the cirriculum is not great for students when it comes to the topic of facing real world situations as being in pvt.college doesnt exopse us to vasr amount of patients and mostly the graduates dont know how to deal with patients 3}the areas that should need an improvement is in imrpoving dissection hall facilities and posting lessers members in a sysytematic way to give time for each and every student a better exposure to the patients 4}the frequency of exams is adequate enough for an above avg student to cope up with the burdensome and vast syllabus but it might be diffucult for a below avg student and my perspective of the difficulty level is somewhat tough and stressful

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually MBBS is structured in such a way that it helps students step by step to learn.. it's anything but perfect .. I am not in a position to suggest but when we are exposed to this vast world in first year which is entirely new to us,it is difficult for us to adjust. We step by step start learning to accommodate in this new world and by the time we adjust and start reading first year comes to and end and then only running,we don't have time to atleast cover our basics so that we can continue for further 3 years.. basics when we aren't aware of we can't confidently go into next years syllabus, but if we try studying basics in the next year we will be again lagging the next year syllabus and cycle goes on.. Mental pressure is the most common that we all feel and for relieving we don't have anything,no cultural activity,no sports,nothing.. that is why many are getting on the wrong side and getting addicted to phone, movies, other addictions
