What Students Say
Likes
- I like the ambience of the college. The college is full of greenery.
- The classrooms are very well maintained with projectors installed in each class.
- I also like the friendly environment that the college has among all.
Dislikes
- I think there is not enough coordination among the students and the staff members.
- Also the benches are not that comfortable to sit for long durations.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because i have interest in civil engineering and this college offers a decent quality of teaching in the civil engineering field. the curriculum prepares you average to be ready to work in the industry but i think there must be more and more practical experience given to the students so that the students will definetely train well. The teaching method is great but few faculties only dictate the answers. The exams are conducted on a frequency of almost 2 months. The difficulty level is average.
Internships Opportunities
The college gives a decent amount of internship offers. Names of some the companies are Maini Renewables, Paranjape group, Microsoft, etc. The companies where the students do internship also provides stipend in which students can cover there expenses. The company where i did my internship was Maini Renewables which is a renewable company where i was a R&D Engineer and Project Management Intern.
Placement Experience
The final year students are eligible for the campus placements. The college offers a decent amount of placements in the college where companies like Tata, Adani, Capgemini, Alfa Laval, Local companies, etc. The companies offer good amounts of packages ranging from 3 lpa to around 12 lpa. The highest package was of 72 lpa in our college but he did gain it through off campus. The percentage of students getting placed in the companies are almost 50%. My plans after my degree gets over is to do a decent job in my core field.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees in the college for general quota is Rs.1,17,000 in which the tuition fees are 1,03,541 rupees and development fees are Rs.13,459. If you get EWS Scholarship then half of the fees of the tuition fees are been paid by the government. The exam fees depends how much previous backlogs you currently have but the normal exam fees are around 500 - 1000 per semester which you need to pay separately. For caste like SC, the fees are around 13k only as they only need to pay the development fees.
Campus Life
The college has a annual day and each year in the month of feb to march various events takes place in the college. Cultural events like Sanskriti, Zion, various days such as bollywood day, traditional day, etc. takes place. Also, sports events happen once in a year. The college library is vast consisting of various field books from engineering to literature, etc. the classrooms has projectors installed. There are many clubs in the college which boosts the inner growth of the students.
Admission
I did apply to the govenment colleges but because i didn't had enough marks to qualify for the colleges, i didn't get admission in those colleges. This college was among top 3 colleges in my list. I choose this college because i read the reviews from google and other sites and the reviews were matvhing to the expectations i had in my mind. i did get rejection in the government college because my marks weren't above 90% in the diploma. The admission process for the diploma students is that you need to have good marks in diploma and if you did 12th then there is one exam you need to give for the admission.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is not that great. Students always want to try new things in the college but few staff members doesn't try to coordinate well with the students. Few faculty doesn't always listen to the students doubt and they shout them instead of trying to solve the problems. i can't share the name of the faculty which I like but the HOD of civil engineering was one of the great personality in the entire college. Throughout the year, 4 exams are conducted which includes 2 insem and 2 endsem examinations which consists of 30 and 70 marks respectively. Students do fail in the exams but they get 2-3 chances to clear them.
Night Life
The college nightlife or you could say after college hours life is so awesome. There are many stalls and shops around the college which offers great food, etc. Gym is available around the college and many rooms are also available if you don't want to choose hostel. The hostel is full of luxury and also the fees of it. The locality is fully safe 24 hours a day.
