Ravenshaw university: strength and flaws

My course is bsc chemistry and it is a very good course to opt. For future. I took chemistry because of the experiments that we can do in chemistry and it provides a broad opportunity for jobs like pharmacy, medicine, industrial services etc. it's a great course for further academic pursuits. Our course should be more practical based and computer simulation videos should be made for understanding concepts. Beside all that my course is quiet difficult like the organic chemistry part .

My college takes rupees 2500 for admission and there is no course fee for general graduation, the course I am pursuing. For technical and professional course like Bsc.Bed the college takes rupees 50000 per year. I have not got a seat in hostel so I have to stay in private accommodation and it is costing me around 5500 per month. Our college has access to all government scholarship, like post matric scholarship, UG merit scholarship, central sector scheme for college and university students and many more.

Our college campus life is preety good. There are many programs going in our college once in a month. The seniors and friends are also very cooperative but in the hostels the junior students face little bit of problems. Our university provides many clubs like art , sports, cultural, and dance clubs.

I admitted to my college through sams odisha website. This is a website that operates the process of admission of students to different colleges in our state. I have first applied for Gangadhar meher university in sambalpur in the stream of computer science but it's course fee was very high and hostel system is not well operated . Then in the second phase I got admission in ravenshaw university. My college exceeds other colleges in terms of teaching facility, different opportunities than academic excellence like sports, dance, cultural programs and it also exceeds in academic results, infrastructure, campus maintenance etc.

All the faculties in our department are super talented but the fact is that many of them are contractual teachers. They teach well and clarify our doubts. Faculties in our college are good approcher towards students but sometimes they didn't give full attention. Our course is based on National education policy and we have to give two major papers, one minor, one AEC , One VAC, one MDC paper during the semester exams. There are total 8 semester exam during the total graduation years. The exam papers are checked by college faculties during internal exam and for semester exam papers goes for checking to other colleges. The college gives us practical marks also.

The night life is also very good. As I am staying outside of the campus I have not that much idea about night life in the college. But what I have heard from my colleagues the night life in their hostels is very good sometimes they have programs going on in their hostels.
