My college review

I have choosen this course as my graduation course because I like to do coding and it is interesting to learn about new computer languages and new technology. There should be less theory classes and more labs for practical as the subject is related to practical things . There are two mid semester tests and final exams in a semester . We need to study one week before the mid semester tests to get good marks and need to study two to three weeks before the final exams to get good marks

There are many companies which arrives the college and offers the college students a good package jobs . The highest package the companies offer is fifty four lakhs to fifty five lakhs per annum . The average placement rate the companies provide is four to five lakhs per annum only.

From fifth or sixth semester of the course , the students become eligible for campus placement . The companies like Wipro, mahindra , edifecs , etc. Many offers are made for the placement for the students and a large number of students are placed every year on the basis of campus placement. The average placement rate of the college is not very good enough that every studentsgets campus placement . Also the average placement package is low which is approximately five lakhs to six lakhs per annum only and the highest package is fifty four to fifty five lakhs . If a person does not get the campus placement , it is difficult to find a off campus job .

The semesterwise fees structure for the college: Tution fee - ?66650 . There is annual fest conducted every year in the college which is referred by the name of Parivartan , and the college's charges ?800 for that fest . The college has its own official app or site for the records of attendence , schedule and other activities and they charge it ?500 for that . The college is affiliated from IK Gujral PTU and the students who pass their scholarship exam get addmission on the basis of the counselling. The students admitted to the college through the counselling process have different fee structure i.e. have lesser fee as compared to other students and the fee depends on the rank in that scholarship exam .

The college celebrates almost all the festivals of the year with full of happiness and enthusiasm. The college celebrates an annual fest every year to which the college refer the fest by the name of Parivartan . There is a full stock of every kind of books in the college library for the students , the students can issue the book of their choice . Library is open only during the college timing. There is no availability of the projectors in the classrooms , these are only available in the labs and also these are not of good quality. There are many events which are organised regularly in the college for students' welfare . Many other events are also organised of every kind such as related to sports , extra curricular activities. Social profiles are created on the activities of colleges to interact with people and the students of colleges . Overall it's easy to get to know about the college and sometimes they show some things very good as compared to that in actual

There is availability of one chair and one almirah for each hosteller in the hostel. There is availability of two seater , three seater and four seater rooms in the hostel . There is no personal washrooms and bathrooms for the rooms and have common washrooms in the corridor. The food quality in the mess is rarely good but most of the times it's not good , they can make it better but they are not making it . The hostel fee varies according to the kind of room we are choosing to live , it's different for AC rooms and non - AC rooms and also it varies for different seaters rooms . There is availability of laundary within the hostel fee .

I have applied to SRM University sonepat but doesn't took admission there cause it was way too expensive than CGC landran and there average package was low than CGC. and it was not that much good location there. I was applicable for some other colleges around my hometown but I wanted to study here that is why i admitted here

The teacher of a particular subject gets to teach two to three classes in a semester. Some faculty members are very good that they are lenient but some are very strict , some are difficult to understand and some don't know how to teach because they are appointing new staff members who don't have much teaching experience . There are two mid semester tests and one final exams and they are not so difficult but also not so easy . For mid semester test we need to study one week before tests to get good marks and for final we have to study two to three weeks before the exams to get good marks.

It's fun to have a campus nighlife , most of the times I have seen this either in any kind fest of festival celebration. It can't be seen at regular days as a hosteller we can't get out of hostel after 7:30 PM and can't be out of campus after 6:30 PM. The worst thing I felt here. There is no gym available in the campus , it's available only in hostels for hostellers . There are many cafeterias in the campus which is also a good source of income for the college , and act as a facility for day scholars also for hostellers when they don't like the mess food. The most famous place in the college is known as ashiqi chowk where we can find many boys sitting there as the ashiqi chowk is present in front of girls hostel.
