Course Curriculum Overview

3

my goal was to become an software engineer which led me to choose this goal.and there are different ways the course can be improved . if inspite of focusing on the theory so much they focus on practical knowledge that course would be 10 times more better. and instead of focusing on too many unnecessary subjects . if a student can focus on atleast one subject through the whole course the student can master it and become a expert in it . rather than this colleges try to focus on too many things at once. also teaching can be improved if the teacher uses the digital technology to teach rather than the old school board and marker as it is more time consuming and less interesting. the frequency for intenal exams are 1.5 hours and externals are 3 hours each exam . i guess the paper shouldnt be lengthy and we should be able to complete it in the given time. the difficulty of few exams can be toned such as electrical engineering or cns . these are the subjects most students get back log in

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 1 lakh 25 thousands approximately . the digits can differ every semester. this fee structure includes tution fee as well as university examination fees . the tution fee is approximately 1 lakh 5 thousand which can again differ based on different semester and the rest 20 thousand is for university exam fees . and this fee structure is increasing as per the coming years . our junior is paying more than we have paid . and there is approximately a difference of 10 20 thousand for the same course . also my friends from other courses pays the same fee. also the extra circular activity fee is not included in this fees structure and if the college wants us to do an internship or an addition course then we would have to pay them additionally recently in our 5th semester we were asked for a report on internship or any course that we did in holidays and if you want college to help you in internship then you would have to pay 6000 to them additional to fees . also in the first year of college you would have to pay extra 10 thousand ruppees as the protection money which would be refunded to you after the completion of your course . talking about scholarship based on education . there are different criteria for that. they would set a specific gpa . if you score than gpa or more than that you will be given scholarship for example if you score more than 9.5 you can claim the scholarship .or if you are a women than there would be few scholarship option for you . also if your father works in railways there would be great scholarship opportunities for you. these type of scholarship can help you save from upto 10 to 50 percent of the fee that you are paying . you are not allowed to apply for scholarship after 3 semester of our college and you can claim scholarship before the third semester only and scholarship can be achived by giving few exams as well. based on the cut off of the exam you can enjoy scholarship .and if you belong to ews you can claim internshi

Campus Life

my college building is divided into two parts . both building are situated with each other and also. one building have three floor one have 2 floors and the college is very large . also it have two garden . one in each building and college also includes a playground and a canteens. there are many clubs such as dancing singing. also there is a fashion club named paradox. there are many socities in which students can enroll such as cultural socities and many more. there are not many places to roam around college . you would have to travel a bit to chill and relax.

Admission

i applied for many other colleges such as adgitm, bpit, uscit and many more . but this college was frozen by me during the selection round. based on my jee rank i got this college .and also other private colleges i applied for either was tooo far away from i live or was very expensive and i couldnt afford them . hmritm is a college in ggsipu which is a goverment affiliated university and at the end of the course i will get my degree from the university only and ipu is a well known university famous for its placement and all packages . also you are allowed to sit in the placement of each and every college if you pass a certain cgpa. my college admission processs included filling out few forms and paying the fees and also you have to take your gaurdian with you for admission.

Faculty

faculty to student ratio is somewhat good. each teacher is not assigned more than 2 class or 2 subject at the same time. and approachabilty of a teacher is based on their character. if a teacher is nice and warm to student we easily approach them.if a teacher is a bit strict we still approach them but with little anxiety.but in my branch almost all teacher are preetty nice and my favourite faculty is currently teaching us artificial intelligence. i like her as she teaches the best and her confidence and the way she carry herself makes her more likable almost like an inspiration .and there are few faculty i dislike because or their unnecessary involvement when not needed and sometimes when they not understand the boundaries set to them. there are two exams which includes internal and external exams. internal exams are conducted inside the college but the internal exams paper are set by the university. but the internal exams are checked inside the college .where for external exams each college is assigned a centre .and students have to go there to write there external exams and also these external exams are checked by the random teacher who doesnt know whose paper they are checking. external exams includes all the units in the subject .where are internal exams included only and only half the units from the subject . difficult of an exam is based on subject. if exam is theoretical it is easier but if it is pratical exam like maths or algorithm it can be a bit tricky . also internal exams are comparatively easier than the external ones. also labs also have a internal and external. in internal labs we have to prepare a file and give viva to the respective subject teacher and for external lab we have to write an exam and a external examiner will take our viva.

Night Life

1

there is no nightlife near my college. infact there is no hostels or pgs near my college and mostly studengs live far from where the college is . there are no gyms , cafeterias or library near the college . no hangout places

Delhi Technological University - [DTU], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Oct 8, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

National Institute of Technology - [NIT], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Reviewed on Sep 29, 2025(Enrolled 2024)

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
