Review of my college

To summarise, Positive remarks: 1) laboratories 2) transportation facilities 3) faculties 4) alumni network 5) sports 6) huge campus Negative remarks: 1) college doesn't provide internship for every one.

In my EE (electrical engineering) stream almost every major and minor electrical subjects have been covered and laboratories are also there for practical hands-on. Various extra courses are also conducted.

In our last semester we are supposed to internship from any reputed company. But we have to search for that company ourself. The college will select some students and will help them to find the company, rest of us have to find our company.

Placements and job opportunity of our stream (ee) is not much, but some companies do visit for placement drive and select some students. Well the salaries won't be much, but still it's decent. If you are good at academics you will definitely get selected.

Almost every festivals are celebrated in our College or atleast by the students. There is techfest (CONVERGENCE), Annual fest Various competition are conducted during national science day. And there are many more such events.

Since it's a private university the fee is expensive. The negative point is that the fee keeps on increasing every year. But it's still less than (some)other universities which has high fee structure and has no facilities.

If you are SC/ST the fee is very very less. If you score top 3 rank then you will be rewarded with cash (almost equal to the fee). Bank will definitely give you loan. If your family income is okay. For girls the fee is very less compared to boys.

Extracurricular activities are organised by our but you have to develop a habit of reading notice board every day, some since no one will come to you personally and inform you about the events. Labs are well equipped with all the machines and equipment. HIGH VOLTAGE labs are also there in our universities.Sports activities are also organised in our College every year, there is interbranch competition. Our university also has tennis ground, cricket ground, football ground, volleyball ground, swimming pool, gym, etc.

I did not stay in hostel but I have visited it many times. I would rate it 3/5 since the rooms are good and washroom for every room is provided seperately. Maid cleans the room regularly and u can also give your clothes for laundry.

Every year alumni meet is organised by our universities, it's a very fun event and we have friendly conversation with our seniors and we get to play different games with them too. There is also mail group, where alumni inform us about any job opportunities, or some other important topics.

Total score of a subject is 100. Out of which 40 marks are form internal evaluation and 60 marks are from external evaluation. 40 marks will include the following: 1) 5 marks from your classwork. 2) 20 marks from midsem exam. 3) 5 marks for attendance. 4) 5 marks for assignments.

The admission process is similar to other colleges. Firstly you have to apply for different colleges according to your priority from the ACPC website. Then results will be declared according to your merit number and your preffered college. There will be 3-4 similar rounds.

Faculties in our college are from very reputed universities. And they are very helpful and friendly. But sometimes they can be busy with some other stuffs and will comepletely ignore us, which can be quite irritating.
