IIPE REVIEW BY A IIPEIAN

our course is made good, i mean it is neither best neither bad. there are three branch in our college. chemical, petroleum, and mechanical and my branch is chemical. i not choosen petroleum because i beleive that after twenty or thirty year there will be no scope of petroleum branch. now coming to mechanical, i don't choosen because it is a new branch in our college and have no placement record. the course is relevance and you can get a real world application after doing lab's. i think only thing to be improvement is engineering graphics because we got more paper work than solidwork in this subject.the mid term timing is two hours and end sem three hour . the paper is moderate.

our college have direct connection to psu's company. so student after completion of 3rd can apply for internship. 8-weeks during the summer vacation is timing for internship.a maximum of two SIP interns allowed under institute funded, project funded, and self-funded.

our college have good placement. after starting of 7th semester students become eligible for placement.i will talk about 2023-24 placement because 2024-25 placement is ongoing.the number of offers made by several comanies are 1)ongc-5 2)gail-2 3)hpcl-4 4)iocl-3 5)hls asia -4 6)exl-6 and many other company gave offers. around 97 percent student got campus placement. highest package- 24 lakh average package- 9.09 lakh

iipe is just like iit in terms of fees structure.i am currently persuing B.tech from this college, so i will talk about detailed fee structure of btech course.you have to pay approx inr 1.7 lakh per year including all fees (like caution money, one time fees,tuition fees,other fees). apart from these our college also provide scholarship on the basis of income just like iit.if you are from sc, st student then your tution fee will be waived which is around 1.5 lakh per year. if you are from obc and gen-ews and your family income is 1) less than 1 lakh per year then your tuiton fee will be waived. 2)between 1-5 lakh per year then your 2/3 of your tuiton fee will be waived. i think my college fees is constant from several year . i am a obc student and coming under less than 1 lakh income , that why i got full tuiton fee waiver.

currently campus life is not that much good because we don't have our own campus. our main college fest is shashwat which is held in spring sem each year. all book you can get from library. our college provide sports eqipment in less amount currently. some sporting events are happening in each months like intrasports.

currently we have private hostel provided by college administration so rent is too high (64000 per year). in one room there is two student. bed, chair, table, almirah,attached bathroom,book self provided by hostel. you have to pay 5500 per month for mess. mess quality is average similar to iits.

i got 97 percentile in jee main 2024, i was getting tier 2 nit's lower branch and in jee advance 2024 i got 110 mark. at this mark i thought that i will get ece branch in iist thiruvananthapuram. i waited till last round of iist counselling but sadly i missed from a small margin. i don't choosen tier 2 nit lower branch because iipe have good placement than tier 2 nits of similar branch.

as i mentioned our faculty are from top iits. faculties are very helpful and kind .if i talk about faculty to student ratio, its good. i like several faculty like arun kumar pujari sir,geddada Nagesh sir and samala rathan. i like these professor beacause i understand his concept. i do not like h. sharon sir despite he is a great teacher. i think the problem is language because sharon sir speak very fast english and i don't catch his voice. there are two exams in each semester 1)MID SEM - it consist of 30 marks. 2)END SEM - it consist of 50 marks. and 20 marks are for assignment and attendance. question are directly come from notes so it is easy to score 7.5 cgpa but you want to score 9 or more than 9 then you have to study regular basis. appox 5 student got back in first sem exam.

there is a very busy schedule from monday to friday. our college is 3.5 km from college , so we travel by bus to go college. from 8:30am to 12:30 am we have classes then again from 2:30 pm we have to go for labs. we have a small gym in each hostel. our hostel is located at the bank of beach, so nightlife is good . we will have best nightlife if we have our own campus.
