Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course i chose is Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) I chose this degree as i wanted to pursue in medical field and be a part of the medical society and profession. Any amount of curriculum will not suffice the experience needed to face the real world as each and every patient is different. Areas of improvement would be inculcating modern usage and technology in the field and hands-on experience

Internships Opportunities

4

Sathyabama Dental had multiple achievers visiting the college as Alumnis explaining the domains they are working on. Apollo Dental visited the college for job offers for Internship Students. The college does not provide any stipend for the Dental Students

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 4,50,000 which is including the lab fees, bus and mess fees. They provide books and materials only for 1st Year and the future expenses are bared by the students. Some of the students pay 4,00,000 through the mode of admission they participated.

Campus Life

4

Annually culturals are held where trending and hotspot creators and celebrities are invited. The cultural festival gathers a lot of attention from outsiders and Freshers Day is also held during June. Sathyabama conducts Technical Events and many events throughout the year. Dental books are available in the library. Projectors are used to display slides with AC classrooms.

Admission

I went through All India Counselling for Dental Colleges and had an option to select 3 colleges. I chose Sathyabama Dental, Bhalaji Dental College and Amritha Institute of Dental Sciences. My first preference was Sathyabama as it was near my home and commute would be easy. I was able to receive the admission in the first round. I didn't go through any rejection as this college was my first choice. The eligibility is to pass NEET examination with the basic pass mark to join this college. Overall experience was easy for me

Faculty

4

On average 60-90 students are present per year, covid batch took a hit as admissions became low. The faculties are approachable and kind to clear doubts, they are always ready to help and motivate the students in both academic and extracurricular activities. Around 5-10 people of average fail due to lack of attendance or failing to reach the minimum pass mark

Night Life

4

Gym is present in the Hostel and Canteen is located in 2 areas. The campus timing is from 9am to 3pm. Students usually hangout in the canteen areas buying snacks and lunch during break hours. Im not aware of the night life as i am a day scholar

Course Curriculum Overview:

.I honestly am not very interested in the course and still trying to adapt to it .The course would either lead you to the path of MDS in several departments and thereafter a Phd or simply a BDS degree would also make you a dentist. . The course needs more simplification and easy to understand books, easy to understand lectures and easy to follow practical work to get a knack of it. . Internal assessments are held almost once in every 2.5 to 3 months and a year end university examination that includes theory and practical exam that requires students to pass in order to be promoted to the next year. . Anatomy, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Pharmacology are the hardest. Physiology, Microbiology and Oral pathology and Histology are the easiest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is vast. But dental also deals with practical skills. So it's not that hard. The exams can be hard if you prepare at the last minute. But otherwise it's manageable. We write 3 IA and one final paper. And we get to write a mock paper before the finals. We'll be having model practical exams as well before the final practical exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum in the first year is quite good and gives a strong base . Subjects like anatomy, physiology and biochemistry are detailed and help us understand the basics needed for later years . Curriculum helps us to improve skills through labs and dissection . Exams happens regularly- we have internal assessments every months , class tests, slip tests, practicals and university exam. The frequency is fine , but the difficulty depends on the preparation . The one year compulsory internship with stipend is also very helpful in moulding us as a great dentist . Overall , the curriculum does a great job in laying down the foundation . Because of the high patient flow our hand skills will also become improve. So it helps in professional growth .

The curriculum is more basic and needs to be improved . It needs to be more advanced to compete with the advancements surrounding us . Teaching methods could be even more innovative and useful to the students . The exam level was easy to moderate .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I just always like art and biology! Dentistry was one field that included art and biology at the same time! This is what influenced me to choose this course! The college prepares you the the NEET MDS exam that is what is the NEXT exam I've talked about. And as dentists we become very precised and and excellent with out hands skills and digital designing better than students of other colleges. I don't think I have anything to say for that where they should improve..I like they're style. The NEXT exams get completed within 1 week or 2 and the University exams gets over by a month
