What Students Say
Likes
- The campus size and playground is huge and aesthetic
- The college has many dogs and puppies roaming in the ground.
- The teachers I got in the first year were amazing. After that, I had average experience with the teachers.
Dislikes
- The canteen could have been better. It has very few options.
- The water dispensers in college were only good for the first year. After that the quality got so poor.
- The computer labs are outdated and most of the systems do not work properly for BCA.
Course Curriculum Overview
The BCA course curriculum was not too relevant but not too bas either. We had relevant subjects such as OOPS, DSA, DBMS and web design. We als studied C,C++, Java, .net, SQL, and mathematics etc. The irrelevant subjects were Computer Fundamentals, visual basic, communication skills and operating systems. These are not too bad subjects either so I feel like the overall curriculum was satisfactory. The topics of those subjects can be improved and the focused should be more on coding and less on theory. The teaching methods were good enough. Teachers had theoretical knowledge but no hands on coding knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
There is a placement cell which regularly informs the students about internship opportunities on WhatsApp. However it does not mention if the internships and paid or unpaid. Companies are also not too grand. Radiant Techsolutions and Hids are the names of the companies which recently offered some internship opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got admission in 2022. The total tuition fees back then was 44800/yr for BCA. Next year, it increased to 55k/yr and now it's even more. I also got transportation which was 16k per sem back then. And once you opt for transportation, you can not cancel it before one whole year which was kind of a scam imo. The scholarship I got was of 10k for first years because I scored 90% in 12th. So I paid 34800 for first year and 44800 for the remaining two.
Campus Life
Campus life is just normal. You have two festivals every year. Freshers and Achievers. Anyone can take part in freshers and Achievers. For achievers they ask everyone to contribute 500 rs. It goes no for two days. Many students recieve monetary rewards in this fest and students from all the major DU colleges come and perform on the first day. And two singers come on the second day. Its a nice experience overall. Apart from this there is a sports day every year which goes on for 2-3 days and frequent industrial visits for first year students.
Admission
I gave CUET but did not apply to other colleges mainly because I did not have mathematics or IP in +2. So I was not elegible for most of the colleges around Delhi. This college allows students from all backgrounds to take admission. Also, it's at a reasonable distance from Delhi, so everyday commuting can be done. Also, the fees of this college was very affordable compared to other colleges. The admission process in my time was not super established. I just visited the college and got admission based on my 12th marks. So I do not know about the exams it accepts.
Faculty
The faculty we had in first and second year was amazing. They were helpful, approachable and knowledgeable and good at teaching. However, the faculty I had in 5th semester was poor. No knowledge of the subject and they did not even take lectures properly. Good faculty was Preeti, Ritu, Anupriya, Kuldeep, Priya and Pooja. But sadly most of them have already left the college. Poor Faculty was Shubham, Sonika, Meenu, Abhishek. Exam structure is as follows: For each sem, you will have 2 sessional exams of each subject and one external practical. The semester exams of 80 marks are not too tough but the checking system is very strict. You may write all the correct answers and still pass barely. Pretty much everyone in the first semester got a backlog. You have to score 32 out of 80 to pass. The internal marks do not matter.
Interview Experience
I have not yet given any interviews. But I talked to a friend who gave an aptitude test through a link provided by the T&P cell of college. It was of QSpiders and he cleared the exam. four other students also cleared the exam. So I can say that the aptitude test was easy and they are offered to work. I don't know if it is paid or unpaid yet.
Night Life
This college is located in the middle of nowhere so there is no night life. The students prefer to go home after classes. Most of the students commute from Delhi and you cannot get a bus to Bahadurgarh after like 7-8PM . There are a few cafes around the college to hang out to. Students like to go there during lunch and free periods. Locality is safe during the days but at night it is an accident prone area. I have never witnessed any crimes or robbing but I've seen a few accidents around the college. One of them was fatal. My verdict is not to stay too late in the college. And always use bus to travel.
