Likes
- College campus is very big and it has almost all facilities for sports , big playground (both indoor and outdoor)
- The labs are very well equipped with modern experimental apparatus
- The teachers are very friendly and helpful, but you have to grind yourself to pass the exam
Dislikes
- The college food cafeteria is small and very poor quality food is provided
- Although there are air conditioning in the rooms of college campus but they are very rarely turned on , making it difficult to attend class in extreme heat
- Although the teachers teach very well but they do not cover the entire syllabus they just give you basic idea about topics , you have to learn it by yourself
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very good and properly revised by the teachers as per the market demands , the designing aspect of civil engineering seems to be most attractive to me We can easily design beautiful building, world class road system using the AutoCAD, ansys software There are dedicated class to teach these software Although there can be addition of artificial intelligence in the curriculum bcz this is where it lacks The exams are conducted twice a year
Placement Experience
College campus placement are provided, companies start visiting the college after 3 year only - companies like tcs , cognizant technology solutions, rdc concrete, vi, L&T, shriram finance, mahindra Etc etc visit the list is very long - highest package being 6 lakh per annum Lowest being 2.5lakh 70% students get placed here but many do not accept the placement and go for going GATE , UPSC, CGPSC etc I got placed in rdc concrete but will pursue MBA so i am planning to appear in CAT exam
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is semester wise not year wise breakdown of fee structure is as follows: Tuition fees -26015 rupees Development charges -2600 Miscellaneous fee-7000 Accreditation fee -500 Total per semester -37615 The post matric scholarship scheme is provided by chhattisgarh govt for sc st students (approx 25000)
Campus Life
-Ojas is name of annual fest held for 7 days -wide range of books are available in Library almost everything is available -annual sports and inter college football, cricket, badminton etc are organised in college -various clubs like dance club, ncc ,nss, vista club , robotics club, start-up club are there
Admission
This college is very reputed and is considered as top most college of chhattisgarh, i didn't tried in any other college i straight away got admission here on the basis of cgpet score The college accept CGPET and jee mains score I appeared in cgpet only and scored decently well Hence i got admission without any issues
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is upto the mark set by the government and UGC, the teachers are available at all time in staff room and they also provide their phone number, so you can approach them easily to clear doubt Sumeet gupta sir ,sk jaiswal sir, sindhu mam , ankush sir are very good and well experienced teachers of their subject The exams are conducted twice i.e per semester 6months Apart from this they also take 2 class test called ct1 and ct2, almost all students manage to pass the exam except 4-5 Students The course is well in line with the current demand of market and the companies
Interview Experience
There is CGPET exam held by chhattisgarh govt and the college accept the Cgpet score There was a counselling session organised by department of technical education chhattisgarh to fill seats of college's om the basis of rank department are alloted
Night Life
The college gym is old and not good , very poorely equipped and there isn't many students practicing there -hostel timing start from early 6o clock to late night 10o clock , campus 10 am to 5 pm The cafeteria is very famous wr have named it lafoot chowk bcz lafoot students seat there ????
