What Students Say
Likes
- There's a good friendly atmosphere around the college so the students can chill a lot.
- Curriculum provided by the college is good enough for the students.
Dislikes
- Faculty don't have a good knowledge in their respective fields.
- Placements are not upto the standards as the students won't be able to get into good companies with respect to their talent.
Course Curriculum Overview
The main aspects that drove me to take up this course is it's demand in the market. The curriculum is filled with the courses which makes us industry ready. The major area for improvements needed is the teaching methods should provide the students with the knowledge that makes them industry-ready rather than focusing only on the academic exams. Frequency of semester exam is once in 6 months and the difficulty level is moderate.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Few companies reached our college like Modak, Kanerika, Cognizant, Deloitte, etc and offered packages from 3-6 LPA on an average. Highest package offered is of 10.5 LPA from Providence for 3-4 students. Almost 35% of students are placed as per my knowledge and the average package is around 4 LPA. My plan is to become a Data Scientist in the future.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees comes to 160000 for the academics. Reservation candidates can avail the benefits of reimbursement from 35000 to full fee upon their EAMCET rank. If someone scores lessthan 10000 rank then full fee will be waived off and if their rank is more than 10000 then 35000 reimbursement will be issued.
Campus Life
Technical fests are held every year where the students actively participate in the programs held in the college. The accessibility of academic books is great but there aren't many journals available. There isn't much place available in the ground. So, only cricket, volley ball and basket ball are the three outdoor sports can be played and few indoor games are available in the sports room. There are few clubs which impact a little bit on students life.
Hostel Facilities
There will be 8 people in the room atleast and the quality of meals are good in our time. The registration process is pretty simple that students should approach the hostel in-charge and fill up the form and then pay the fees.
Admission
I got into CVR college in the first phase of EAMCET counselling. I chose this college in the second counselling in order to get into the stream I liked the most. The admission process is just through State level counselling and didn't consist of any exams other than reservation criteria. I got 3k EAMCET rank and got into this college.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio may be around 1:30. The relationship among the students and faculties is good as they treat the students well. My favourite faculty is Deepika Ma'am as she always deliver the content with 100% effort. There are few faculties whom I don't like personally as they always show partiality among groups of people in the class. Every semester consists of 5-6 subjects including 1-3 labs and all are of moderate level. Around 5-10% of the students fail to clear exams. The course curriculum is aligned with the industry level knowledge.
Night Life
There's no gym in our college and there's a small canteen where the people enjoy their time. The college closes around 5:30 PM. Hostel outing timings are from 6 in the morning to 10 in the evening. There are few places outside the college where students hangout regularly like cafeterias near the college, and around the canteen.
