Good Infrastructure with decent placements

It any students want to pursue finance specialisation SIES is not the place for it. For marketing it is good and ensures that all students are placed at good company with good package.Faculty and infrastructure is good.

The curriculum is University driven. Syllabus is given to College by University so that puts a restriction on what college can teach by themselves.Apart from that we have good case study lectures that help in understanding the concepts. We also have events,PPT, etc as extra curricular activities.

Our college do ensure that internship is available to everyone.We have summer as well as winter internship available.Summer internship is compulsory while winter internship is optional.My internship was with National Payments Corporation Of India and stipend was 10000 per month.Profile for internship was very good and exposure was good.

Placements for marketing department are quite good where average package is around 6.5 lakhs and hoghest is around 12 lakhs.For finance the placements are not that good. College struggle to get good company with good profile for finance students.

For MMS which is a university driven course the fees are 4 lakhs for 2 years and for PGDM which is college driven the fees are 7.8 lakhs.It is expensive according to me compared to the ROI that I am getting at the end.

Our college has loan facility and scholarship facility available to students whose income is below certain limit and have performed well in academics.Scholarship is given to students from different cast and religion.

We have extra curricular activities going on throughout the year.We have a dedicated sports committee and academic committee that are responsible for handling and conducting events. Cultural committee is responsible for conducting cultural events in college throughout the year. We have Virtualities as our annual fest which has number of competitions i.e inter college as well as intra college.

We do not have hostel facility at our college but college do facilitate the students go get PG or accomodation nearby. Infrastructure is pretty good. We have AC equipped classrooms and well maintained library. Other than that we have Gym and sports area.

College has lacked connection with alumni network hence lacking on opportunities of good company coming to campus. But college is working rapidly on ot and has introduced a dedicated alumni committee which will work on engaging with alumni.

We have 60 - 40 exam structure where 40 marks are for internal assessment, viva and written test. The other 60 marks are for University paper. University conducts these exams which have case studies and practical questions in it.

I got admission through MH-CET. I scored around 98% and filled the form for CAP round.After filling the CAP round form, you have to fill Colleges in sequence of your preference.After this, DTE which is responsible for allocation of college, declares the results.

Faculty for marketing department are good. They have quite a big experience in corporate before joining SIES. So such knowledge helps us to understand the corporate culture and ethics.Some of them are PHD holders and works on improving themselves by participating in various workshops.
