Course Curriculum Overview

4

My major subject are maths and statistics so there is a lot of focus on analytical thinking and problem-solving in. The curriculum offers a wide variety of topics like calculus, linear algebra, probability, and inferential statistics, which are in accordance with my interests and career goals. There is emphasis on both theoretical understanding and practical applications, such as data analysis and modeling and we were also taught about data modelling softwares like Power Bi , MS Excel etc. The curriculum provides a nice structure for real-world applications, especially in fields like data science, finance, and research. Topics like statistical modeling, regression analysis, and optimization.

Internships Opportunities

4

They are various companies that comes to our college for the internships , the most recent ones were the "Onward" which came for HR human resource provided a stipend of 5000 per month. Most of the companies which comes for the internship generally required for the HR.

Placement Experience

3

Placements in my college are really nice the placement cell works very hard to find the placements for the student studying in the college they also make sure that the students are well equipped with the skills so that we get placed, in my college students are eligible from the six semester for the campus placements . The highest package that was offered in my college was around 6 lakhs and the average packages is around 3.5 lakhs that is offered around 20-30% of the students get placed during the campus placements. So I am not a kind of person would like to work in a private firm, I would apply for government jobs or I would prepare myself for CAT for doing my MBA, there are also chances that I might purse you for higher education for doing an MSc degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

So I am currently doing BSc and in my college my course has been divided into 6 semesters , the subject I opted for are Maths, Statistics and Computer and my fees for per year is 29500 but if you opt for any other subject excluding computer then you have to pay 5000 less as some of my friends have opted for Physics, Chemistry and Maths so their fees is 24500. Admission fee - 1000 Caution fee is only for Computer students which is - ?5000 Other extra fees are included in the course fee. There are no scholarships or financial aids.

Campus Life

4

Well my college life has been pretty good till now and I wish it be the same , this college is not like other colleges it is our fun place to go. The college library is a bit quite small, it does not have enough books and we cannot go in a regularly every stream has been allotted various days in a week in which they can visit the library. There are various fest that are held in our college during various parts of the time there is no specific timing of any fest they are planned by the college administration sum of them includes the Techfest The classrooms in our college are very advanced, all the classrooms are equipped with cctv cameras and smart boards for teachers to teach. There is always annual athletics meet which has various athletic events like 100 m races, javelin throw events, short put events which is held in the month of November. There is one thing that our college lacks is student union group it does not exist in our college there are no such things like student gloves or student portal . We are social service groups in our college like the NSS which open visits and areas where people are in need of help.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility in our colleges pretty good we have nice and clean rooms each room consist of at least two beds one or two rooms have three beds. The environment of the hostel is pretty nice and quite, in our rooms we have been provided with an almirah a bed and study table and a chair . There is 24/7 facility of Wi-Fi and electricity and hot and cold water. The quality of the menu that has been provided to us is also decent , always get parathas in the morning with tea the lunch is also called heavy there is always different vegetables used for the meal that we get. The registration process of the hostel is quite easy as well you just need to go to the administrative block of the college and contact for the registration in the hostel once you pay the fees of the hostel you instantly get alloted a room if they are available. If I try to rent a room or PG there are various facilities available around the college within the parameter of 1 to 2 km.

Admission

So when I completed my 12th I applied for colleges like DU and Lucknow University and various other colleges and also the college in which I am currently studying now , the main reason why I chose this college over other was one reason was that I didn't got selected in Lucknow university in Delhi University , the the main reason that I didn't got selected in these colleges were my incompetence and my lac in skills that were necessary to to get accepted in these colleges. So if you talk about the admission process of my college first you have to visit the website and check for the entrance dates because in my college if you want to take the admission first you need to qualify the entrance examination. Entrance examination is an MCQ based test where your given a 100 MCQ and your selection is done on basis of the marks that you have gained. Admission process was very smooth when I got to know that I have been selected in this college we were given the dates of the admission process when I arrived in the college my name was called out and I went on the registration counter for the admission and within 10 minutes I was registered into the college and my college ID was ready on the spot.

Faculty

4

The faculty at my college is the best that I can expect it to be the teachers don't feel like they are professors they just don't come to college and give lecture and go they try to teach us in a significant way . The faculty to student ratio is 1:70, they are very approachable. Nishi Rastogi who teaches statistics and Shweta Sinha who teaches computer and Mahesh Sir who also teaches Computer and Mr Anju Singh who teaches botany and Mr P K Singh who is our Proctor are the best teachers as they all have something special in them that makes everyone to learn something from them. There are Semester exams in every 6 months and each subject comparisies of 2 papers , and each paper consists of 100 marks out of which 30 marks are given internally and 70 are given on the basis of written test. There are also minor and vocational subjects which students can choose on their own they are also of 100 marks. Apart from the semester exams there are also internal exams of 10 marks in every 45 days. The course is very relevant to the curriculum as being an autonomous college aur college provides us with the best curriculum possible.

Interview Experience

5

Since my college is not a very big college so I didn't face anything like group discussion or interview for the admission only faced a test which was based on MCQ questions. The MCQ questions mostly comparised of the topics that were taught in 12th standard.

Night Life

3

The nightlife in my college is like pretty boring because it is not a big college and most of the students in our college are day scholars, there are only around 120 students in the hostel and we have to come back to the hostel before 9:30 p.m. so there is not much to say about the nightlife althoughthere is KD Singh Babu stadium which gives us the advantage of having various sports and a gymnasium which helps us keep ourselves energetic . Since our College is located in the heart of Lucknow which is Hazratganj so there are various places you can visit from our college some of them are Hanumat Dham temple , the British residency etc.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

bsc is still very relevant if the faculty and professors are actively involved with the students , but in my college they lack this quality . when i took admissions exams were conducted yearly , but from this year they have introduced semester wise bsc , ending the yearly based examinations now they conduct exams 2 times a year . they dont easily give marks so a student must have to do a real hardwork as faculties are not that helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to me you should choose Brahmanand College but as I wanted more practicals then theory work but it is not like that here because you get more time to study and practicals were less .Exams' timings were sometimes morning, afternoon so you will have to manage yourself accordingly.
