Masters in Applied Geology with University of Lucknow review.

The program is rated highly for its specialization in petroleum geosciences, which sets apart from general geology. Course focuses heavily on hydrocarbon exploration including specific drilling well logging geophysics subjects. Callibration with Ongc in early years . Dissertation internship and practical labs are available. In teaching improvement needs a large quantity professor requires.

Internships are compulsory with ongc or other institution. And no stipend available in this course , only certificates are given. And projects are also required for terms paper with various topics with help of research paper and practicals.

For placement, complete degree is requires. No compnies are visited but you can apply in various companies . Once ongc came and 2 students selected. For job in yearly package in starting is about 3-4 lacs thens 10-12 lacs . Some students placed in Bekar , Halliburton, Ofi, Jindal etc.

Semester wise fees . Full year fees approx 65000 and for sc st as scholarship full fees return. One semester fees is 32000 including all facilities. And fully ac rooms with no cost. Library fees is zero.

Multiple functions are conducted in university and hostels. Jus like cultural and sports evemts and convocation every year. Huge no of books and journals are available in library. In the classroom projectors with smart board for advanced studies.

In room a fan a bed and one table and chair are available with lights no charges for water and electricity. Meal quality is avarage in each hostels and everyday new meal available but not tasty. Kapoorthala daliganj locality are available for rooms . Through registration form for hostel distribution.

For specialization in petroleum geosciences applied in the university and other university also applied but session is too late and in some university not qualified the entrances. In university admission, entrance exam and eligibility is B.Sc. in geology.

Faculties are less available with knowledge. Professor Dhruvsen Singh Manoj Yadav is very good faculty. Some Faculties are not good . In year 2 final exams and 2 mid terms exam for all paper in each year. Internal marks average 20 out of 30. 90 percent student passed .

Only written test is applicable through entrance exam . Details available easily on the lucknow university site just like dates topics etc. Generally subject related questions are asked and multiple choice examination held by the university and omr sheets distributed with offline entrance exam. Results declare on the websites.

Varoius gym are available aroud the university and so many cafeterieas nad closing time 10 to 12 o'clock. For girls hostels timing is 8 pm and for boys generally 12 am but no rules applied . You can go everywhere in any time. And in university 10- 12 canteens available with domino's and metrostation.
