Likes

I like how the college is full green and also it is a ragging free campus.good teachers and has good seniors also good clubs too.
College has so many clubs where you can participate and also we can get activity points too
Teachers are supportive and also we have good union so we have so many fests and programmes.

Dislikes

I didnt disliked anything that much.college is fun
Infrastructure is not too good adjustable.
It is a gov cost sharing college so it has his pros and cons

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is divided into 8 semesters and we have two internal exams to calculate the internal and lab exams too.as per 2024 scheme we have four modules in each papers.some papers are tough and some are moderate.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are numerous internship opportunities we get both offline and online.our seniors visited internships from our college to kochi and other places.through online they provies us so many internships and opportunities.

Placement Experience

College has placements but it is less i think it is a gov cost sharing college so placements coming theor will be less .we have internship opportunities and we can do internships and also they make us prepares for interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

I payed 50,000 for admission via keam allotment.Merit with low fee is 50,000.Merit with full fee is 75 k .iam obc category. There are scholarships like egrantz etc.for sc st tudents have special scholarship for egrantz.Nri quota fees is 1 lakh.

Campus Life

We have iedc iee green campus nss and ncc and numerous clubs sports club is very good in our college so many sports activities and competitions are held in our college and also in inter college festivals students from pur college participates

Admission

The admission process was good and overall the college seems good and my friends are studying their as my seniors so i selected the college it has no ragging everybody is ao friendly.And no rude behaviours from the stafff or anybody else when the admission process happened

Faculty

Faculty are good.more experienced facultys are present and teachers are very friendly and when it comes about studies they are strict and also takes classes efficiently.As for the syllabus we are a cape college and apjktu university controls our college.

Interview Experience

No i got in according to the keam exam.so their was no interview we had induction programme and we had so many fames and activities to make us interact with each other.We had so nany games and also we interacted with everybody

Night Life

No gym is present we have ladies hostel a boys hostel and also there are 4-5 pgs around the campus.we have a canteen and a cafeteria.we have good ambience in our college.College is on kundoormala it is in top of a hill and so the ambience is quite good.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.
