- During rainy season the collage looks so good due to the greenery.
- There are many clubs like IEDC, IEEE and many more
- The placement cell is also good. Many students get placed in some the top mmcs.
Dislikes
- KTU University makes some foolish disitions.
- There are some facilities with lack of experience in teaching. As some of the faculties had just entered the collage after Btech and Mtech
- KTU UNIVERSITY has less value compared to other Universities
Course Curriculum Overview
We dont get much time to prepare for our exams as after the 1st series examination we have only got about a weak for the preparation of the second series examination. We get about 3 days before each university exam which is good.
Internships Opportunities
Cognizant, rakuten, infosis, and many other companies visit our college and provides internships and placements. There is also a placement cell which helps us to be ready to crack an interview and attain a job via collage placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had to pay Rs.65000/- as tution fee per year and Rs.20000/- as registration fee. I had 19802 aa keam rank. So i have got merit full fee(management). The collage also has a merit half fee catogory where the tution fee would be 40000/- and 20000/- as registration fee. The merit full fee candidates will also get e grands scholarship. As I'm in merit full fee (management) catogory so i wont get egrands instead i got EK.NAYANAR scholarship which gives me 15000 per year.
Campus Life
There are many clubs like IEDC , IEEE , and many other clubs which makes compatable with the industry. NSS and NCC is also available if you are interested in social services. The college has good sports and arts clubs. Onam, christmas, and new year are also celebrated here.
Admission
I have applied for mainly 2 collages collage of engineering Thalassery and college of engineering vatakara as its near my house. The preferred collage of engineering Thalassery as it was only 13.5 km away from my house compared to collage of engineering vatakara which is about 27 km. I have also considered the better study environment, good faculties and better reputation that collage of engineering Thalassery has.
Faculty
There are 8 semesters in total. 2 semester per year ,each semester consists of about 5 subjects which has written university exam. There are some other subjects which dont have any exams like life skills in 1st semester and health and wellness. The student to faculty ratio is good. Each class gets a tutor who helps us in any situations. The subject faculties are also good as they respond to our doubt any time.
Night Life
There are many small sized parks and places to hangout in our college. There are 2 gyms in about a radius of 1 km. Thalassery town is also nearby with many other foof spots and hangout places which hels the students to relax their mind after collage hours.
