Course Curriculum Overview

5

VLSI is an emerging course in India. More or less will become the next big thing kinda like how CSE once was.i say the curriculum is pretty good. I do wish practicals were more than theoretical classes. There's an exam more or less every 90 days. But we do get a winter break of one month.

Placement Experience

4

Students secure roles in companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, and Amazon. The highest package is 38LPA offered by EA sports and the average is 9lahks. Personally I'll be going to Sweden after my bachelor's inorder to get my masters in VLSI.

Fees and Financial Aid

1000 for application fees.It costs 5,000,000 per year for every student. An extra 20,000 as a caution deposit. You also need to pay 20,000 for food. Doesn't matter if you're a hosteller or not. The fees are the same for everyone. Doesn't matter if you're air 100 or air 827636. If you get the top 10% in your branch you will get a 1,000,000 discount on tuition fee for the next year.

Campus Life

5

Aero and Aether the sports fest and cultural fests are usually in February. Every class has a projector. There's thousands of books in our library from normal story books like magic tree House to academic books. There is soccer, badminton, tennis, badminton and alot of other sports also. Every sport has a separate club and I'm apart of the chess club and on the university chess team.

Admission

This is the only college i applied to because I had a good feeling id get admitted. The campus looks amazing and it looks like a western University and the food is good too. For VLSI you just need 80% in MPC in your 10,12th boards. That's it. For cse you need 90 percentile jee or 1400 sat.

Faculty

4

Every teacher is different but the majority of them are good. I can go and ask each and every teacher silly doubts and they won't judge me. The best facultie is probably the electrical teacher whose name is Gopinath. He's very friendly and explains very well. There's 3 exams every semester for each subject. Weightage depends but it's usually something like 25%,25%,50%. Depends on the subject but it's definitely harder than most other colleges. The course curriculum is pretty relevant.

Night Life

5

There's a really big library, 2 gyms. Both open till 10:30 in the night. Day scholars can stay in campus till 10:30 without issue. The night curfew is 11:30pm. Most people usually tend to hangout in the mess or in random empty classrooms. There's also a separate paid cafeteria near school of law which has amazing fries.

placement scenario at mu is developing but not yet at the level one would expect from an institute that markets itself as industry alligned , while there are some good opportunities , overall placement perfomance is average eligibility: student become elgible for campus placements in 7th semester aptitude training , pre placement talks usually begin in 6th semester companies visited tech mahindra , infosys , tcs , cognizant , accenture , hexaware highest package 12 - 14 LPA avg package 4-6 LPA PLACEMENT RATE ; around 65 -70 % for cse and related branches , for non cse percentage is significantly lower since placement scene isnt very strong i plan to prepare for gate or gre , explore certifications in data science or ai or possibly apply for research based ms programs

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placements around the beginning of their final year (typically the 7th semester for a B.Tech course). Many companies do visit the campus for recruitment. Some of the names mentioned in reviews include Amazon, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Sutherland, HSBC, SAP, and Wipro. It's hard to say the exact number of offers made each year, as this can vary. However, reports suggest that a good number of students do get placed. In 2024, one report mentioned 2000+ students were placed from the overall batchs. Details on the highest and average packages can vary based on the source and the year. The highest package reported for 2024 seems to be around ?44 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum), with some sources mentioning it reaching up to ?40 LPA in rare cases. One specific placement in Amazon was reported at ?44 LPA. The average package is generally cited as being in the range of ?4.3 LPA to ?4.5 LPA. Some reviews give slightly different figures, so it's good to consider this as an approximate range. Specific company-wise package details for 2024 show offers from companies like Amazon (?44 LPA), Mentor Graphics (?20 LPA), and many others ranging from ?6 LPA to ?10 LPA. Profiles offered would vary depending on the company and your branch. The percentage of students getting placements is also reported differently across sources. Some reviews suggest around 60% to 90% of students get placed. However, official placement reports might give a more precise figure. For the 2024 batch, one report mentioned 652 students placed out of the graduating batch.

Placement Experience:

Around 40% to 50% of students get placed in entire college. It is totally based on the skill of the student if students has very good skill training and placement officer also offers to apply for companies which only takes skilled students the college is totally computer science and only one section has ECE which is comparatively has less placements compared to other deparments since there is no computer science background this is the drawback for taking Electronics and Communication but if students are skilled in the Electronics backgroung Veda IIT which provides internship and job oppurtunities in VLSI and Embedded Systems but the student has to be a skilled person in the electronics subjects.
