Likes

College has a very nice atmosphere and the campus is quite good
The college union is very strong and conducts a lot of programs and is very helpful for newcomers

Dislikes

Bathrooms are not really clean and needs improvement
Exams and assignments are given in a very tight schedule

Course Curriculum Overview

Civil engineering is an old course and it's been for years and will always be relevant,the exams are also easy and requires very little hardwork to pass the exam, practical guide should be included more in the course

Class Size: 53Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly 40000rs is paid,because I got my seat in merit list including all other fees it will be a total of 53000 in first year for NRI category fees are 100000 and for non keam fees are 80000,there will be a lot of scholarship opportunities for different categories

Campus Life

Campus Life is great, infrastructure is also good , college union is very strong and there are a lot of programs conducted in regular intervals,and it's quite exciting,sports activities are there but doesn't have a lot of facilities

Admission

This college is the second best in my nearby localities,it provides placement opportunities and teaches really well compared to other self finance colleges, a lot of students get placements within the college

Faculty

There are enough faculties to help and the faculty to student ratio is good , faculties of mathematics department, Aneesh sir is really good in teaching Mechanics teacher Amrita mam is also really good,all teachers are really helpful,there will be 2 series exams and will be retest for students who failed

Interview Experience

No there wasn't any interview,they just asked the reason behind choosing this course and explained the fees details and the scheme of the university and the facilities college provides and the details of faculties

Night Life

There is a small town nearby the college and has a bigger town 10km away from the college you will see a lot of food spots, cafetaria within the college gives good food,canteen gives enough and tasty foods

A brief introduction of GECK

Placement Experience:

The placements at college are pretty decent. I think the students become eligible for placement from 4th year onwards. The highest package from our college last year was around 10 lakhs per annum by a student from electronics and Communications department. Some of the top companies that visit our college for recruitment are TCS and L&T. The average package at our college is around 4 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students that get placed from our college is around 40% I also plan to get placed from college placement itself and I will try my level best for it.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement process starts at the 7th sem of the 4year course.Some of the companies that came here are TATA,L&T, TCS,Reliance etc. and have an average salary package of 3lakh to 5 lakh per annum

Life at GEC KOZHIKODE

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities of my collage is some what ok we have placement opportunities from TATA, L&T, Reliance, Walkaro and many more companies whom came for placement cells. From 3rd year (5th,6th sem) most probably 6th sem onwards students become eligible for Campus placements. Some of the top companies have visited in our campus include TCS, Infosys, Accenture,Ultratech, Cognizant and others too. Exact number of offers made for one student can vary depending upon the student's performance. Package may vary depending upon the company and profile, but it is around 6LPA and the average pack is around 2-3LPA. Placement percentage may vary depending upon the department as there is more no of CSE Students more than 60% of students is placed form CSE department.

My college

College of Engineering, Trikaripur is a NAAC and NBA(EEE) accredited college. It is an ISO-certified college too. It is the top college in the Malabar region of Kerala. It has the 3rd position in all Kerala ktu results in 2019. The college has a good and calm atmosphere. College admission is mainly based on KEAM entrance rank. They have NRI, and management quota also. The courses available here are computer science engineering, civil engineering, information and technology, electrical and electronics engineering, and electronics and communication engineering. They have a well-facilitated lab and workshop. All teachers and good. They have a major and minor canteen with food at a low price. They have college bus services.
