Likes
- A MAJOR APPLAUS TO THE STAFF! Yes being a student m saying this and I mean it , the staff here actually cares about their profession and wants best for their students, they r genuinely very supportive
- Gud for live study as it's located near a open area plus the studios we work in are spacious and ltrly artsy~
- You'd actually learn!!! Face challenges and improve coz as I said the staff actually cares about the work
Dislikes
- Infrastructure could have been better like the bathrooms and stuff , I expect a bit more from a pvt university.
- The course is new here and we got to know that after admission, though I don't regret admission coz of the staff but it's still scary to realise there no batch out there ye of this course
- Yess theee festss I would say this loudly the festss here are shit.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course doesn't offer as many subjects as government college does ,here it's only a choice between applied and painting as specialization, which btw u can decide in the second year first year is the foundation year when u try both of the mediums and then later on choose whichever one suits u better this is a advantage u won't get in government clgs, but for the specializations here the faculty tries their best to give us info about the mosttt stuffff they can and we do get redo's until the teacher thinks we have actually shown them the work of our ability but they are always nice about it , I mean there's one teacher who's always sarcastic and taunting but that is how he plays with us it's not actually with bad intentions anyhow , the exams are taken in three forms or sets 15 marks ,25m and then the main 60 mark exam which is written for theory and jury comes from outside for practical.. the other two times it's our faculty only who marks us.
Internships Opportunities
I don't know that yet as I just came to 2nd year and our time for first internship hasn't come , it will soon but it hasn't yet , but I doo know senior go for internship at the end of the year and they are also marked for it so it is Mandatory for us to do it but I don't have the idea about the companies yet.
Fees and Financial Aid
For bfa program per semester comes down as we gets into higher semester as in the first four semester per semester fee is around 54k and then after that it comes down to around 45k then 30 something basically the four year course is of around 4 lakhs, with 45k admission fee and 15k security fee which is included in the total course fee mentioned above ,you even get scholarship of around 25-100% on tuition fee for first sem if yours 12th marks are good and then for lateron semester there's a scholarship pattern which depends on sgpa criteria and the top 2 students in the batch mostly.. Plus there's a scholarship criteria for people living in haryana as haryana domicile, the percentage of scholarship obtained by the students follows the same rules as mentioned above but it's for onlyyyy the people living within the state with the mentioned family income criteria.
Campus Life
Clubs I'd say are a formality here tbh , there's not much of club life only few of the clubs are available that too takes place after clg hours which after 5pm so it's just pointless in my opinion and I already mentioned this as a con the fests are shit , they do bring fine singers for annual college fest but other than that it's ehh, if the department wants to do anything separately that's different like for us we sometimes hire an artist as in visual or of any kind from outside as a whole department activity to hear or learn from them , there are group activities sometimes
Admission
I applied to du , college of art ofc but didn't get admission into that , quite bummed I was but we'll I think it happened for the best we all know how serious the teachers there are and the infrastructure (bathrooms, canteen) it's yuckk then I applied in amity I didn't even have to give a test there I was directly given admission with scholarship for the first sem because of my 12th boards marks but I chose to go for sushant coz tbh I just had a bad feeling amity , I just had an image that the students I'd find might not be as serious or the staff it just all felt very awkward and not safe ALSO the course was cheaper in sushant and yes I got the scholarship for the first sem here too , so I chose this .
Faculty
Subjects are 6-7 per semester and a couple of them change every sem , the faculty has been fluctuating a bit like sometimes they change but everytime we get such brilliant teachers but the head of out department who also teaches us painting currently and our art history teacher rn I'd say I have a personal attachment with them , the faculty doesn't treat us less than a family .. there must be around 4-5 teachers per batch? And about failing the exam so far the ratio must be barely any as to my knowledge I don't remember any of my batchmates failing any subject
Night Life
Library is cozy of our department atleast, there's no let down with the cafeteria there are quite a lot with almost every type of food , now I can't really say anything about the nightlife or the safe at night to go out I am a commuter I have no idea abt the hostel timings and stuff
