A journey to Calicut University

The college promote various extra curriculum activities. Ncc and nss vere also in our college. Students have achieved national level prize for sports items like baseball , softball , boxing etc. Arts related activities are also promoted and trainings were also provided. When coming to the teaching method it was a very little boring because of old teaching method.Teachers should make use of the technology as well as other methods for taking classes.

There is no specific companies. Every year there will be work shops in each department. Students can have opportunities through that workshops. There is no sure possibility to have any job offer from our college.

1915 rupees per semester as semester fee and 630 rupees as caution deposit during the time of admission and for my course 1250 rupees were taken as PTA fund during the time of admission. Students who are eligible for E grantz scholarship doesn't have to pay the semester fee. It is for OBC,OEC,SC,ST etc. other scholarship are ch muhammed koya and post metric etc.

The infrastructure and some buildings were old .But the campus have a big canteen and library. The College have union inauguration, college union election, college day, fine arts etc. as annual programmes. There are many clubs like IT club, Nature club, Discipline committee, etc each of them were combined with students and teachers.

I have applied for many colleges under Calicut University and got admission in Govt College Madappally. I have also applied in several central universities. Due to the delay of their admission procedures I have taken admission in govt College Madappally and when coming to the campus It impressed me by its natural beauty at the first moment. The admission procedures were very simple and fast . We have to apply through the online website and allotments are given by considering our +2 marks. After we got allotment we have to take admission permenantly or temporarily.

Around 1500 students were in our campus and 10 departments are there with 5-8 faculties in each department including guest lecturers.The course duration is 3 years with 6 semester exams.classes were almost completed before the exams and model exams or internal exams were also conducted.

There is a gym in our college. Our campus have hostel facilities only for girls . The hostel timing is currently upto 8 pm . There are many public spots were students can have fun. The class starts at 9:30 am and have a break at 11:35 . From 11:45 next hour will start. At 12:30 it's time for lunch and at 3:30 the class time ends. The students can be there atleast upto 8 pm in college.
