Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is well suited for the students. All the important subjects necessary for jobs, or real life applications are taught. Students are encouraged to take up electives as well to focus on their over all development. Exams are held regularly and they are set on what is taught in class. They are made hard but students usually manage to pass and score decent marks.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many internships is offered to students. Microsoft is the very recent one to offer internships to even 1st year students with a stipend. For the second and third year students, the internship opportunities are even wider.

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible to take up placements from 3rd year. But on papers, 4th year is the year for placements here. Most of the students gets placed on campus itself. Those you don't, they go with off campus placements offered to them

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for the program over 4 years is Rs 26 Lakh. The fees breakup is not constant as the tution fees increases by 10% every year. There are no reservations or quotas. The scholarship is offered to top JEE rankers in the first semester and then in the further semesters, according to the CGPA.

Campus Life

3

There are namely three major fests - Plinth- Tech Fest, Desportivos - Sports Fest and Vivacity- Cultural Fest. Smaller fests usually happen after the college's reopens after admissions. The library here is good and contains all types of books. Sports facilities are a little degraded but people here make up to it. Students run many clubs to engage students in activities.

Hostel Facilities

5

A mirror, 1 personal cupboard, 1 shared almirah for keeping books, fan, bed, mattress are some facilities given in the room. The food facilities are better than other colleges. The hostel has a table tennis table, a vending machine and an area to play badminton.

Admission

This college had better name and held a good public image when it comes to Computer Science. The coding culture here is at par with multiple IITs. It is the second best private college, after BITS, Pilani. The admission process is very simple. It is through the JEE MAINS examination and yoh need to register for admission on the institute website.

Faculty

4

The faculty student relationship is quite good and they are very much approachable. Some facilities go to an extra mile to help you cover your syllabus on time. The curriculum is regularly updated to keep up with time . Though on paper they follow the pattern set by IIT Kanpur.

Night Life

4

Gym is not properly developed yet but it works for the gymmers. Cafeteria options are very limited. The hostel timings are 10:45 in the night. Around the campus, there isn't much but we do have a maggie spot near which is good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum includes lab works, workshops and seminars. Which influence the choice to choose the course. But they are lacking to get hands on experience. Though they are guest lectures and seminar which is highly beneficial. Need to provide report on summer internship, industrial training, which is mandatory according to curriculum. Which helps in gaining hands on real life skills. But students still pass this barrier using fake certification and copied reports. And faculty is not strict about this. I believe the latest technologies which is not integrated in curriculum like AI/ ML ,recent frameworks , even if integrated not taughtd in depth. Like we have subjects AI , ML but no practical learning. Assignment are huge burden with little learning we need assessment that tests understanding rather than memorization. More subjects needed on softs skills especially in last year during placement season. Live project with company as all student are not able to land good internships. Frequency of exams like midterm( 2 in 3-4 months) ,practical( at the end of semester just after 2 nd midterm exam). End semester exams - 10-20 days after practical exams.

The curriculum here is inspired from IIT Kanpur and IIIT Hyderabad but most of the courses aree not relevant today like in today's world C language is outdated but they always teach everything in C and in ECE branch the courses are considered to be the toughest and maximize of them are not relevant today.

Campus palcements at GMEC Ajmer are quite good, especially foe CSE and core branches. Students become eligible for placement grom the 7th semester, and many companies visted the campus every year. Some of the prominent recruiters includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys, capgemini, cognizantand tech mahindra among others. Highest package varies every year (in 2025 it goes to 13 lpa) Average package: Ranges between 3.5 to 5 lpa Approxi, ately 80-85 5 of eligible students got placed, especially those from technical backgrounds with good coding and communication skills. Some students also go for off-campus drives or pursue higher studies like M.Tech or MBA. As for my plans, after completing the degree, I aim to either get placed in a reputed IT company or pursue higher studies depending on the opportunities available and personal career goals.
