Course Curriculum Overview
The NEP(New Education Policy) enhaced the specificity of the course. They included many new subjects and a well round aspect. It influenced my decision to study here as the course was not only designed for my interest in the subject but aslo fuel my interest for further studies. The curriculum is diverse. You get many subjects to choose as Cotton University is the best to study in whole of northeast. It is thus an exception to make out the best of the courses we are studying. I belive the teachers and the administration are doing there best in improving the courses through out different courses. The exams are generally on the diffucult side. The odd semester starts from august and last will december. While the even semesters start from january and last till june. Checking and the question paper are on the difficult side. Thus it tries to improve the level of the students.

There are various fests going through out the year. Mainly the Varsity week that happends during the month of march. And other events included business fair, quiz fest, film fest and several other as well. There are a wide range of books at the library. From fiction to business, from finace to religion. And several other books from different languages. CU also provides a computer lab at the top of library. Over that it also has departmental libraries. It has a large indoor stadium with a attached gym. Sports ranging from table tennis, badminton, chess, basketball are all played there. It also has several student run social groups such as the business group, coding club, literay groups, film club, quiz and debating club and several micro clubs as well. Which enhances the overall growth of a students life.
Admission
I applied to Delhi Univerity and got admission from SBSC. I believe people living in northeast should rather study at CU cause they will feel close to home and embody themselves in their comfort zone. I belive you feel ourself in this university and the sense of affection that you receive from your classmates is immense. I didnt face an rejection from other colleges. I rather wanted to be close to home. Cotton University processes two types 1. Entrance through CUET 2. Entrance through class 12 marks For my course it considers best of 3 for class 12 marks And through CUET it considers English + best of 2 For CUET the cut off is well above 600+ and for 12th marks it is well above 94%
Faculty
The teachers are awesome. Graduate from the top tier institues around India. They take up new and innovative measures to teach. A well versed approach to conduct classes. The course structure is different across the branches. But they are quite enough to complete for competitve exams for masters. There are two exams conducted in a year. Mid terma and the end term. While the mid term is of 30 marks and end term 70 marks. Sometimes specifications are made to include assignments in the marking system.
Interview Experience
No there is no required interview while and during the admission session. If you rather sit for lateral entry through extracuricular entry and sports quoata you have to go through that. I belive all the materials are found on the internet to prepare for and for the sports one shoud practice their own sport.
Night Life
Cotton University does have a canteen and a cafeteria. It has a food lane called kaho gali infront of the university. It oveall adds to the nighlife of the students. There are 4 boys hostel with 1 girls hostel. The famous hangout places include the digholi pukhuri and several cafes surrounding that
