- The welcoming environment of my college has been instrumental in shaping my personal growth. Surrounded by supportive peers and seniors that are so generous and helpful. From Engaging in group Activities ,events and Rotaract club helped me interact
- The professors at my college has been incredibly helpful and supportive, specially as I transaction from a science background to commerce, they made the shift much easier by explaining concepts in a simple way and encouraging me to participate.
- The ratio of girls and boys varies from course to course. For example in psychology the ratio of girls are more whereas in Bcom the majority of boys is more. But in my course the ratio is almost equal.
Dislikes
- The only thing that I miss is having campus with sports. Although the sports committee is very good I miss playing sports within the campus like having tennis and basketball court. The other campus have the arenas.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing BSC finance course designed to provide an in-depth understanding of financial principles while focusing on their real life application in the dynamic world of finance. This program not only equip us with the theoretical knowledge needed for success, but also sharpens are practical skills to real world challenges confidently. My college goes above and beyond to prepare us for the future by conducting regular exams, interactive presentations and comprehensive tests.
Placement Experience
Although I am in first year, so I am not really aware of the placements, but I hear that 80-90% of the students get the placement offers around 4-10 lakh per annum. if no campus placement is offered to me, then I have would probably search for cooperative financial service or have my masters in finance or the start preparing for CFA so I have side degree with bachelors which will give me opportunity for jobs in financial sector. Also many companies have offered placements like federal bank, Sapio analytics, sutherland global services, hexagon nutrition ltd, dalmia group and many more.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 340000 for my first year and around 340000 for the hostel fees which includes AC. My course has the highest fees in school of commerce which is Bsc Finance. The fees structure for Bba is around 3 lakh and for bcom is around 2.5 lakh. A student has to pass Npat enterance exam for commerce. The fees increases rapidly every year.
Campus Life
The environment here is very professional and fun and interactivity at the same time. There are many clubs and events, including Rotaract club, cultural committee, E-cell and many more. Moreover, in rotaract club, there are many avenues like club service, community service, sports service, career, International, editorial, etc. there has been many events till now like Nirvana event organised by Rotaract club, Prapalya by sports committee, mental awareness day by psych committee, start up ideas and competition by E-cell, an initiative by community service to celebrate Diwali in an old-age home, and so many different events in fun activities and games, and charity events conducted by many clubs. And it is also very easy for anyone to Issue book from library and they have very systematic program, so you get a email and also about returning date and everything.
Hostel Facilities
The Hostel provided by the college is very good, but the only problem I faced was of food because I am Jain so I found this other Hostel. It has many branches to it provides regular vegetarian food and also Jain food and their other services are like they do the laundry and provide air conditioner and television in room. Also, there is fingerprint gate pass, so the parents get message every time their child goes out or comes in. Also, the owner of my Hostel conducts events like Garba in Navratri. The name of my Hostel is Stayzone. They also have gym which has the main equipments required. Also, in the other sector. they have carrom board and pool table. So students can pass their time. They also have the service to provide Tiffin to college. if I would have to rent a flat or PG, I would look in sector 35 because it is closest to the college, so I can save money in travelling although the rent of my Hostel is higher than that of my college fees, but as for a girl in first year, my parents didn't want to compromise in my safety, so I would say that it's costly but worth it.
Admission
I'm glad I secured admission here as it has proven to be the perfect choice for my aspirations in the finance industry. And the complications going with the MHCET exam created a hustle between the students and the colleges they want to opt for due to re-examination. The application process of many colleges delayed by 2-3 months, which I wanted to avoid. Because now that I see few of my friends, those who waited for the result and now they cannot find a good college. Also the criteria for N pet is minimum 50% marks in class 12th with mathematics or statistics as a subject in 12th. I got selected in Navi Mumbai campus, but got waitlisted in Mumbai because of my cut-off in entrance exam and I selected for both Bsc finance and BBA in navi Mumbai. But I chose finance.
Faculty
My college has a large number of faculty members who are always approachable and willing to help. They are very cooperative and make it easy for students to ask questions or seek guidance. They also have a large and knowledgeable faculty who have a perfect understanding of textbooks and practical life. They provide all the study materials and resources at the beginning itself, ensuring students are well prepared the level of exam so far has arranged from moderate to difficult, depending on how well one, understands the concept for those who take study seriously success is achievable, but for those who neglect that academics, the chances of feeling a significantly higher.
Night Life
There has been many events which are conducted in night around 8 pm and the college take all the precautions and strict measures for the safety of students which includes strict checking too. as for someone who has been in security for two big night events. I can assure you that the college make sure that everything is done in a proper manner. The Metro Station is right in front of our college, so it makes it very easy to travel, specially for students who are coming from far or are willing to enjoy their day with friends. Also, there are many cafes and restaurants and street foods stalls near the college like Prashant corner and I think that most of the students when they want to have a day out with friends, they go to Nexus Seawood Mall also there is a sector itself, which has many hostels, so they have cafes and gym. Although I'm not staying in Hostel of college but it which also provide Jain food and all the safety student needs and the curfew time is around 11 PM overall its good.
