College Review of UIT RGPV

The college is very badly maintened in terms of cleanliness. Due to being government college it has lack of cleenliness always. Also the painting is only done when the NAAC or some other team visit here.

The course is more practical and less theoritical. The core knowledge of industry and some basic skills that are necessary are imparted. The subjects in each semester is somewhere linked to each other. The exam are semester wise and are at after every 6 months. Exam consists of both practical and theory papers.

CS and IT branches have maximum placement at our college. Rest of the branches too are having enough number of placements. Our college doesnt provide internships, student have to self apply for internships. I too had applied for internship at Eicher and completed one month of internship there at Quality Assurance Department. The stipend is only paid when the internship is of longer duration (say 6 -8 months)

Our college doesnt have much events though, but techfest and cultural fest both happen once a year. Apart from that Antaragini and some other smaller events takes place time to time. Also last year TED event happened at our college.

The fee is too lesser as compared to other colleges. Also reserved students get scholarships. The fee is nearly 31000 per year for BE. SC, ST and OBC students get scholarships and have to pay the fees when scholarship is credited to their accounts.

The reserved students get scholarships from MP government as post metric Scholarship. The Schedule Caste, Scheduled Tribe and OBC students get scholarships and have to pay fees when scholarship are credited to thier account.

We are having a cricket ground, labs are only for the CS/IT or first year students. No extra curricular activities are supported by college. The students have to self organize events and activities.

Yes alot helpful if you are having good communication with them. They help in various things specially last year exam papers or project ideas or to get minor idea of a particular subject, details about a specific topic etc.

The admission process is same as any other college for technical courses. Aspirants had to appear in JEE mains. The DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) arranges councelling for colleges on the basis of JEE Mains score and 12th percentage. During councelling fill the names of the colleges in state of your choices. If you clear the cutoff for the college of your choice then you'll get allotment letter, just print it and reach the institute for admission with other necessary documents (i.e. TC, 10th and 12th marksheets and migration).

Faculty is average in our branch, but in rest of the branches faculties are highly qualified and much experienced. The course material they are having is good. Teqching methodology could be a bit improved.
