A great place for college life

Positives : 1) college is situated outside city which is calm and peaceful. When I say out of City doesn't mean completely. It is around 5km outside city. 2) college provides transportation facility. 3) the campus is massive. The canteen is great 4) they have Tea Post in the campus 5) parking facilities are available. 6) and many more Negatives 1) the compulsory attendance criteria for first two years of college is stressful 2) failure to reach the attendance criteria, unless under specific situations, will not be allowed to appear for internal examination. 3) there's no AC available. As the fees is so low.

The examination is semester wise. 6 semesters. 2 semester in one year. The course is quite easy if you're from a commerce background. The course is of 3 years. The first course of the Bcom is all the basics and requires small preparations. After semester 2, 3 comes and it consists of quite difficult subject but they're all easy to crack. It just requires a physical aspect of course and everything is fine

My college does provide a placement and job opportunities. As I'm a student of semester 3 I haven't experienced but my senior do tell me the placement cell is very satisfying and they do get a job above 25000/- per month.

My college celebrates all types of events. National events, international events. They also conduct 'Days celebration' which is a two days fun in college where there is dance, music, drama etc. and DJ night. College also promotors the NSS activities which are compulsory for all students. My college also takes part in Youth Festival organized by the Gujarat University. The college has won several titles as well. College also promotes sports and they send a cricket, basketball, volleyball, football etc, teams for matches. There's a lot more extra cultural activities being conducted by the college

The fees is extremely feasible. The fees for semester 1 was about 7000rs. Semester 2, 6500rs and semester 3 was 6460rs and this carries on throughout the remaining semesters. The fees are very less as compared to other colleges in Ahmedabad.

The college do conduct scholarship protocols. But because of such lower fees, they're hardly any requirement for a loan facility offered by the college. I haven't opted for any such, so basically I'm not aware but there would be surely something for scholarship as there's a independent place around the college which solves such queries

College promotes sports and they send a cricket, basketball, volleyball, football etc, teams for matches. There's a lot more extra cultural activities being conducted by the college. They are also interested in sending their students interested in indoor games like chess. As Commerce field does not require any specific lab. We do have a huge library.

The senior students are extremely friendly and generous. In my first year itself, I have made several senior friends who were completely normal to me. No bullying no ragging. Nothing. The seniors are very knowledgeable and kind. This is my personal experience as I was always scared if the seniors were arrogant, but it turned out to be great and I am still in contact with several passed out seniors

Firstly, you must purchase something called 'PIN' which is distributed by the Gujarat University. It contains the PIN and a serial which is required to fill the admission form. After filling the admission form, you must input your marks obtained in 10 and 12. After filling the form, you must choose college preferences. I kept my first preference as New LJ Commerce College. After fulfilling all the requirements of online admission, you must visit any college under Gujarat University to Verify the details you inserted in the online form(only for students who were told 'verification is complusory'. After verifying your details, you will be given merit marks. Which will decide if you will be admitted in your preferred college by the cut off merit marks of the college. As I satisfied the merit marks of my college, I was allotted New LJ Commerce College. After allotment, you must pay the fee to Gujarat University either by online mode or offline by going into a bank. After giving the fee, you must visit your allotted college and fill their admission form. And after that the admission process is completed.

The faculties in my college are extremely friendly and fun. They make teaching so easy by their experience and it is always fun to attend the lectures. Even if you feel bored, you won't, because the lecturer always find a fun way to teach the most boring chapter. That's the best part I find about my college
