Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I am interested in computer science, coding, programming from my High school days i choose computer science and engineering course and the course curriculum is pretty good which is more theory based also there are practical labs which gives hands on experience to make us industry ready. Including more practical from University in syllabus will helps a lot. Frequency of internals varies for different scheme students as I am from 2021 scheme we are having 3 internals in a semester.

Placement Experience

3

For IT branches this time we got very less companies in campus drive around 2-3 companies for packages around 4.5-7LPA over 10-15 students for placed in then and many CSR companies for training recruitment came to campus and got 2 companies that's pentagon Space and palle technologies. And as a part of our scheme we are having one full semester internship which iam planning to do in pentagon space where they will provide placement assistance too. Overall placement was pretty low compared to last year that is 20% students for placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got seat through entrance test KCET and also with SNQ quota which is 28220, only given to 2 students in a department automatically alloted by system from KCET for students with good rank and less income and additional 10000Rs for skill lab is collected by college every year. Total I am paying 38220 as my course fee Every year. My friends with normal merit seat through KCET is paying 90k and 10k for skill lab fee. In management seat it varies for different departments from 100k-250k

Campus Life

3

There are many associations and clubs are present in college which conducted various activities and also each department has their own student associations and Google student club and Microsoft student learn also Intel club conducts many workshops in various technologies for students by the students to help in learning new things. Overall it's an average campus experience with less sports and extracurricular activities offered by college.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel fee will get increase every new batch students for our batch it's 77k per year including food and accommodation and it's same for complete 4 years. Hostel infrastructure and facilities and good compare to other hostels. Allmost all are 3 sharing rooms and with 3 cots and student table with attach bathroom for reach room and hot water heater in every floor with lift facility Only band thing is hostel food is very average in quality and quantity.

Admission

I chose this college because it's good naming in placements and also it has less intake during my joining that is every branch intake only 60 students so I thought it will be more effective and good for studies During my mock allotment from KCET i got this college with SNQ quota so I didn't change the college preference and in first round i got this college but without SNQ quota so then I went to second round allotment that time I got SNQ quota. In my preference i have given other top colleges in Mangalore like MITE, Sahyadri college of engineering and management in priority, which i missed slightly due to my ranking is 30k where cutoff for those colleges was writing 28k. After I got my seat allotted i paid fee at Bank that's government fee of 28k then came to college with all necessary documents and marks card of previous class then paid 10k for skill lab fee at college. It was simple admission process no difficulties and it was overall good experience with admission process in my college.

Faculty

4

There are enough number of faculties present in our college there is no any problem in shortage of lectures and also every semester they will complete the syllabus within given time without any issues. Therefore faculty to student ratio is good they are approachable any time. Exam's are also easy to pass internals conducted at college level then final exam by VTU.

Night Life

4

There is gym in college will be open till 8pm night and campus is in closed environment provide good security and both boys and girls hostel are in college Champs only only 100m distance from college. Library won't be available after college hours and also it's safe to roam around college during night there is no such issues and there are good hangout spots too
