Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because I was clear about this field from my 10th standard. Lets move how the faculty teach you about the out side world. There was a subject named T&P (Traning and placement) in this subject we were thught about the interviews amd also about the aptitude tests and about GD. How we should master the points in GD and get our thinking out of the box. And also while our project presentation we used to be asked questions from our seniors. Teachers can imporve their teaching by creating new methods. As now teachers rely on their previos notes and they present that and teach from them. Some student are not able to grasp that. There are 2 semester in on years and between each semester there are 2 unit test. As they are known as internal exams and before these semesters there are practical exam and viva which are taken by external teachers from other colleges.

Internships Opportunities

5

I've done 3 internships from my college. 1. BES&T ( Brihanmumbai Electrical Supply and Transportation) - My role there was as an electrical Supervisor I used to survey the project and guide the labours to work properly. And in systematic manner. 2. MMRDA ( Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority) - Here my role was as an Electrical Engineer. I used to study the line diagrams and convey thaose information to my colleague. 3. KRRO shipping services - Here my role was as an support engineer. I used to guide the contractor to lay diffrent type of cable according to load calculation in the ships.

The students got placed were about 50%. And the other were planning for masters and some already had their family business. I'm at job in symtromics Pvt Ltd. This company makes submarine and Battleship for navy.

There are fests in this college in month of March and August. There fests mainly depend upon theme revel and then the main events starts like sports and other activities. The main event is sports which is conducted at borivali in poiser gymkhana. The whole college participants in that and winner gets diffrent prices. And the fests are DJ nights, prom nights and theme revel. Usually Ganapathi bappa is placed in our college so the ganesh chaturthi is also celebrated in joys.

Admission

As in cap round I apply for different colleges in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, but as per my cut out I was alloted a navi mumbai college known as Saraswati college which is located in Kharghar. But as it is far from my local station I prefered for second list and in that list I alloted this college Atharva College of engineering. So I choosed this college because it is near my local station. And this college is well developed and also had some insight from the ex-students of this college. This made me choose this college. I was rejected by a college named VJTI as that college cut-off was way ahead of what I had scored so I got rejected from that college. The admission process of Atharva College of engineering is to simple just submit your documents of 12th or diploma and your local I'D and fill the fees. As I was in management quota I've to pay the whole fee as per open category. At 2022 the cut off of this college in 3rd round was 73% in final semester.

Faculty

5

As I'm a DSE student. My engineering was for 3 years. We had a good and supportive faculty there are some teacher which can be easily approached some can be difficult because of their other duties as Hod and vise principal. We had 5 subject for each semester and these subject we thaught efficiently by our teachers. Even if at that time we had an doubt and cannot approach teacher so u can directly meet them after the lectures and ask for the guidance and they never say no for that. Exam were not that hard so maximum no. Of students passed the exams. The faculty I didn't like was promod sir he was too arrogent but now he is retired so no worries. And the faculty I like was pragya jain ma'am and kshipra ma'am their teaching was way better.

Night Life

5

I was not in hostel so I've no idea about that. But the night life of our college is way better than its thought during our dj nights we have experience the night life of the locality. And the array colony is also not that far from college. There is aksa beach around 10 km near college. And the connectivity is good through the metro lines. During fests we used to stay at college the enjoyment of students and making fun of each othe was way good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
