Likes

Being an IIT the college provides very good faculty and infrastructure. the faculty here are masters of their field all from prestigious institutes from all over world. They all very supportive and always ready to help the students.
We have a state of the art infrastructure. Hostels rooms have AC. The academic complex is fully air conditioned. We have a common mess for boys and girls and the food quality is also good if compared to other government colleges.
The crowd here is amazing. There are students here from almost all parts of the country. All are very hard working and supportive too. We get to learn a lot about their culture and their experiences.

Dislikes

The gender ratio is 1:4 (boys:girls). This is not clearly good but improving over time.
As we shifted to the permanent campus in 2022 so many facilities are still under in process. Especially the sports part. Currently it is not up to the mark but improving a lot over time.
Sometimes it become quite difficult to handle the academics and the versatile extra curriculum activities simultaneously but it can be handled with proper time table and management.

Course Curriculum Overview

For the first year we have common course for all the students. We get to study the basics of all engineering domains. From the second year onwards we have to study our core courses. We have theoretical classes as well as practical labs. These classes help us to strengthen our basics. We have exams and quizzes. There is one mid sem exam and one end sem exam along with quiz tests and lab exams

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Placement Experience

Students here are provided with internships and placements opprotunities in various core and non core sectors. Placements are provided in consulting, IT, technical, finance, analytics, management, teaching and research sectors. Highest and average packages offered were 48 and 13 lacks respectively. Major companies are Accenture Japan, Deloitte, Winjit, siemens, nvidia, tesco, mahindra and mahindra, tata autocomp, HCL, TCS, L&T ,etc. After BTECH many students opt for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee per semster tuition=100000 caution=7000 registration=500 admission=500 id card and certificate=1000 library=500 celebration=1000 training and placement=1000 alumni life membership fee=3000 medical=1125 other=6000 Various scholarships and financial aids are given based on family income and caste categories(mainly for sc/st)

Campus Life

We have our techno cultural annual fest called Meraz. Along with this various other festivals and events are held regularly. Our library contains a lot of books either related to academmic or non academics. The classrooms are equipped with blackboards and whiteboards with projectors. We have a lot of extra curricular activities in between the semesters. Various sports and othe competitions are held regularly. There are many clubs for everyones interest either it is technical or cultural.

Hostel Facilities

We have hostels for girls and boys inside the campus only. We hostels have common rooms for everybody which contains indoor games such as TT, carrom, fuseball, etc. We have AC in our rooms unlike most government institutes. There is a common mess block. The food quality is also good if compared to other government institutes.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

For getting admission here, one has to first clear JEE MAINS first and then the JEE ADVANCED. Your college and branch purely depends on your rank in JEE ADVANCED. So you can either sacrifice your favourate branch or college. There are other entrance exams also like JAM and GATE for different programmes.

Faculty

The faculty here is excellent. All are masters of their fields. They have studied from the well known prestigous institutes from all around the wrold. We have around 70 faculty members. They all are very supportive and all always approachable during or after the class.

Night Life

There is one cafeteria which remains open all time. The library also remains open throughout the night. We have a gym with specified timing. Also there are time restrictions on the entry and exit from the campus. Entry is resrticted from 11pm to 6am. There are many colleges and hangout places around our campus.

My College Review- insight from NIT Raipur

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, the placement starts. Till now around 30-40 snrs have placed. All the good snrs I know and have already been placed. Companies like- Caterpillar, Schneider Electric, JSL, JSPL, JWL, netarwala, Amazon, Dassault System, Reliance, phonepe, Deloitte, come to our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yeah ,the course in terms of comprehensiveness is really satisfactory. I have some issues with sequence of subjects which are covered ,but there is no compromise with the comprehensiveness. So I would rate good that too .

NIT Raipur Review: Where knowledge meets real world engineering.

Placement Experience:

1. Students from seventt semester and onwards are eligible for the campus placements. 2. There are ample numbers of comapnies visited in our college like schneider electric, bpcl,bhel,bhel,reliance,catterpillar,eil, and so on. As per the last year data around 130 comapnies made in to our campus and they offered around 800 plus offers to various studenst of different departments. 3. The highets package offered this year is 60 lakhs that is offered by DE Shaw and average package is something around 11 laks per annum 4. Taking considerations of students of all departments, almost 70 percent students get placed. 5. Presently my plan after getting degree is to get into a job.

Decnet hostel experience for college experience

Placement Experience:

A Better One

Placement Experience:

We can do internships after 1st year and 2nd but for the placement it's in 4th year. The training and placement cell of the college has work consistently to bring reputated companies like a TCS Wipro Infosys LNT Infotech etc. the medium package for uses students is like 4 lakh per annum and PG students was about 4 to 5 lakh per annum. However when compared with some of the top tile institutions the package levels and placement percentage highlight the student themselves me to bridge through internship of campus drive and additional certifications. Another noticeable trend is that placements 10 to be more favourable for the branches like computer science and information technology where are School branches of an face lower absorption rates which is common in many engineering colleges. But here off campus placement are really good

Truth about NIT Raipur

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is so good as per the stats . Like students are eligible for placements from there 7th sem . No. Of companies visited is around 200 (guess). Offers made 600(guess) . Highest package is 65 lpa , and average package is 9 lpa there are major two roles one is core engineering get role and other is non core data analyst role . 86 % students are placed last year . My plan is to get good placements from college itself and then after experience I will go for MBA or higher studies .

I cleared my IIT Jee advanced paper and I analysed the previous year cutoff criteria to get into the college and accordingly I chose the colleges in a particular Order.Firstly being an IIT,you will find many perks in case of fame,job,tag,title etc.Also I prioritised some branches over other in which I was interested,so considering my rank,my branch and my college options,I got in IIT Bhilai.I also applied to other IIT and some Bits,VIT and some EAMCET colleges but I decided to select this over other lower colleges. I got rejected by other 1st and 2nd gen IITs as my score was not enough to get into those,I could have got into those if I would have chose some other lower branches like Metallurgy,Ocean engineering etc but I wasn't sure about choosing those branches. The exams you need to write to get into IITs is Jee advanced for Btech and Integrated Btech and Mtech and Gate for Mtech.The eligibility criteria is you have to qualify Jee advanced first to write Jee advanced,and have 75% score in your 12th exams whether it be state or CBSE board. The eligibilty score depends on the year wise cutoff marks given by the exam authority itself and it differs every year. And once you clear and be eligible,you have to select the colleges according to your priority and you get colleges according to your score,Rank and the college and brach you chose. Once you get selected in a college,you have to get all the needed documents like Jee score card,Adhaar,Caste Certificate,Income certificate,12th marks sheet etc and get verified.And once this process is cleared you get into that college...Read More

Slow people really takes time but it doesn't mean that they can't grabs opportunities, if you are a men no one can stop.

First you have to qualified for IIT-JEE(Mains) After that you have to take the IIT-JEE (ADV) examination. For general candidate for EE your rank should nearly 10,000 or below 10,000 so you can take the admission through JoSAA counselling. And for OBC nearly rank is required is (2500 to 4000 ). You can find JEE ADV papers on the official website of IIT JEE so you can practice. And do hard work and give your best...!!!...Read More
