Course Curriculum Overview

4

Its really relevant to whatever job requirement is there as of now. They update the course often too in order to meet the needs of today and focus a lot on real world applications. The course is highly qualitative. As i said, we dont have a lot of exams, but a lot of projects and presentations which improve our oratory skills as well

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship opportunities are many and only come rolling in after 2nd year is over. A lot of companies come and partner with the university for internships and some projects can be done from home as well.

Placement Experience

4

Campus placements starts from the last semester. There are many placements and the lowest package is 4Lakhs per annum. Since I'm still in my second year, i dont know too much about the placements, but they do get placed well. Some of the placements were in Delloite and JP Morgan. My plans after completing my 3rd year is choosing to do an honours in the university itself (there is an option), and then going for a job in the campus placement

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay 3 lakhs per year and this is not including the mess, transport or hostel fees. Hostel fees is around 1lakh, and transport fees is around 30,000 per semester. They take 10,000 for the mess food (including all meals). For any other immersion programme, they take extra fees for that. The cornell immersion in the first year was 10 lakhs for 3 weeks and the singapore immersion is around 3 lakhs. All of these immersion prices are including all charges (flight, hotel, tuition, etc) For scholarship, they give scholarship for the top 10% gpa in every course. So they pick 10% in Digital technologies, Economics and finance, and Computational business analytics and give them a scholarship of 75,000 for only one semester. If the grades drop then they dont get scholarship for the next semester

Campus Life

4

Day scholars dont have a lot of options to participate in events or clubs since they happen in the evening- night times (unless you can stay back). But there are a LOT of club options, like the music, dance, aerospace, etc etc clubs to choose from, and are conducted by the students themselves. The library is also huge and has a lot of books, educational and novels alike. They have a number of sitting areas and discussion rooms as well. Annual festivals are Airo and Aether. Airo being a sports fest and Aether being a cultural fest. They usually happen around February Theres also a swimming pool and gym, and theyre free to use by any student. They have good facilities

Admission

I actually went around to different colleges to see how the campus is, but i ONLY likes Mahindra University. So i didn't even apply to other universities. I only applied to MU and i got in. The admission process was really simple. We had to fill and application form, and after doing so we'll have an interview with some of the faculty including the dean. If we get through the interview, then we get through the admission. The interview was 5 mins long and not that complex. They asked general knowledge questions.

Faculty

4

The faculty are really good amd accessible too. We use outlook to reach out to them, and they respond within a few minutes sometimes. They're really friendly and answer doubts well. It depends from professor to professor though. Some are really friendly and some are plain rude. Although the ratio of rude professors to friendly professors are 1:5, so you just need to know how to deal with them. Mahindra barely has any exams after the first year- it becomes more project heavy. Their exams are so easy that if someone doesnt pass it basically means they didn't attend any classes and didnt study at all.

Interview Experience

5

We had an interview where we had a panel of faculty interview us including the dean. They first asked me my interests and then asked me questions about that. I told them i like music, so they asked me about the impact of naatu naatu on the world and my thoughts about it. I didn't prepare for this to be honest, i just answered to the best of my ability.

Night Life

4

Since I'm a day scholar i dont hang out around at night. The hostelers have a curfew time of 11pm, and must be in their rooms by then. The wardens lock the hostels from the inside so that no one goes out. All day scholars must leave the campus by 6pm, unless they have meetings or club activities. Gyms also have timings that update regularly, so its not fixed. For library, it closes by 10 pm as well.

I choose BBA course because it is basically theory based program which do not have many accounting subjects which i feel very difficult during my 12 class. The course should be based on real life explainations which we can understand properly. The exams are not too hard which we can prepare easily by the given time

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is started by reputed college like NALSAR , we would be the first batch if we join which makes management to take extra care made me to opt for this option. The curriculum structured in such a way that it explores every side of the business. First they introduce basics later on deep dive into the subjects. We have other opportunity in Nalsar where law subjects which helps businesses management also there for betterment. The management should focus more on bringing the subjects which are highly demand in the market and focus on giving more practical and real world knowledge. They should increase the time on working more on real world case studies and problem-solving.

Remarks:

My admission process started after i had filled up the college form. The forms are available online as well as offline. The cost of the application fee was INR 2000, after which i was called for an interview on a given date. During this time i paid another INR 20,000 and the admission was based on merit of my class 12 performance with the minimum requirement being 60% with no admission test required for my BBA program. During the interview, I was asked about why I wanted to take BBA and study here. My session started somewhere in the month of July and along with the 1st semester fees i also had to pay a security deposit of INR 10,000 which was to be refunded after my completion of the course.
