Course Curriculum Overview

3

The university is autonoumous so it follows its own curriculum but there is no much difference. The college follows the National education Policy (NEP) set by government of india. The curriculum set is not placement oriented and you need to make extra efforts if your goal is to get a placement. For the tech branches they should teach more related to coding and computer than teaching all the branches like civil and chemistry in 1st year.

Placement Experience

3

As per the brouchure realesed by the college the average package is about 9 lpa and placement of 60% for computer science department. The companies which visit here are mainly service based companies which offer different roles like sales executive sales manager etc. Very few tech companies visits here. Mostly students prepare here for gate exams. My plan is to sit for placements in tech companies it either may be on-campus or off campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is 120260 which wil be paid semester wise for 60130 per semester. In the 1st semster a caution fees of 5000 & 1000 registration fee will be paid after which the total 1st semester fees becomes 66130. The fees of all the categories of the students are same. College does not provides any scholarship but you can get UP Scholarship by UP GOV.For Gen & OBC category the scholarship amount is 55-60k but for SC & ST it is 120k i.e the full fee is refunded.

Campus Life

4

There are many clubs out there and I'm also the part of some clubs but the clubs don't seem to be that active. Holi is celebrated in college and there is 3 day tech fest in april called PRISM,after which we have a & day fest in college called sanskriti Surbhi. These are the fests celebrated in college. There is a free gym inside the university. The infrastructre for the sports is not good.Students bring there own equipments if they want to play and learn.

Admission

The main reason to choose this college was: 1) The college is considered as 4th position in UP for engineering after IET,BIET,JIIT Noida. 2)The second reason was fees structure the fees of the college is very reasonable after getting scholarship of 55-60k in a year by UP Government. 3)The loaction of the college is in the capital of Uttar Pradesh which is a plus point. The admission for this college is done on the basis of jee mains, through the UPTAC counselling.

Faculty

4

The faculties who are permamnet in the colleges are very good and they are qualified teachers but there are teachers who are on contract basis these teachers does not have that deep knowledge of the subject they teach. Our maths teacher Dr. Khusboo ma'am is the best teacher out there. She is very helpful. In one semester there will be 2 mid terms of 20 marks out of two mid terms best of the 2 marks will be taken for internal marks. The exams are easy if you will read all the notes taught in class. The teachers provides the pdf of the notes and you can revise from them.

Night Life

3

There is a gym in the college which gets close at 8 pm in the evening. There are no cafeterias or public areas. The hostel timing are 8pm in summer and 7 pm in winter. There are no hangout places in college but you can freely roam outside the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Jims is a ipu college, so yeah curriculum depends entirely on ipu University. First year is similar for all btech courses. Or is easy to earn marks in lab and soft skill subjects but maths or physics is hard. Your 12th basics should be very good, else these two subjects will affect your overall SGPA badly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure is good of btech but there there is only thing I don't like is that in btech course the subjects in first year are not related to career of students because there is physics, chemistry other irrelevant subjects present in first year but in second year the course become interesting and relevant. Curriculum is good and prepare well for real world applications. The exams comes frequently every month there is a class test but class tests are moderate on the basis of there difficulty level.

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
