Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum is not much relevant as many of the things are old and not been used or practiced now a days. The curriculum is not that focused on real world scenarios , is just focus on getting passed in exam The pratical working experience given is very less that has to be improved. The working with live and real world project is needed as well as exploring the current technology is also required. The frequency of exam are like every month there will be an exam and the difficulty is medium.

Placement Experience

2

From 6th semester the students become eligible for placements. The placement scenario currently from 2023-2024 was not that great as company that were approching were not core company and the package offered was low . The company that visited are Saskeen that made 4 offers , and juego that made 3 offers and other were marketing companies. The percentage of students getting placed are 30% approximately. My plan are getting and job .

Fees and Financial Aid

I am student at AJ Institute Of Engineering and Technology, I had taken management seat ,as I was not able to get kcet seat for computer science branch, those who got kcet seat for them fee is 90000 and the scholarship that are been provided are SSP , for that eligible students can apply. The college fee is one ,after that we have to pay exam fee for every semester ,and for all the internal IA books has to be bought by us ,If any fest or competition is organised in college for that we have to pay the amount like 300 or so for each program .

Campus Life

3

The college by itself conducts a event know as AAKAR that is held between march- may ,that also need money to be paid by student that is compulsory. The fest includes cultural and technical fest . The cultural fest includes dancing , singing, acting , modeling and drama . The technical fest includes a coding , web design , bug finding etc. The range of books are good that are available . There are different sections for sc/st , obc and general for books section that are alloted for special cast and other books are available for everyone. The classroom has a ppt and bench and desk that are been provided. The classroom don't have facility like charging socket in each bench , wifi connection etc.

Admission

The college that I applied was that I was getting computer science stream and the fee for the course was less as compared to other colleges and the college was nearby . The other colleges were not provided the computer science stream as they were providing other streams. The admission process is that you can get the seat by writing KCET exam and by ranking you can get the stream ,other is the management seat through which one can avail seat.

Faculty

3

The faculty members are okay in teaching aspects not that great , some of them are very nice in teaching and some are just like ppt readers . The faculty to students ratio is like 1 faculty to 20 students , for mentorship , and the approching them for the doubt is good sometimes . The faculty that I like we're Rakesh M R , Sharanya PS , Vilma Dsouza , and Pavithra , are the one who i personally like as there teaching approach was good and they were approchable for the doubt. Some of the faculty were not great at teaching as they were just ppt readers and didn't have core knowledge of the subject and in general to give real world examples and tell the scenario in which the things can be used. The exam in a sem are 3 internal exam. And one external exam . The internal exam contains weightage of 50 marks and external exam has 50 marks weightage which makes 100 marks in total for that semester. The student passing in exam is like 90% get passed and remaining may fail due to less studies.

Night Life

3

The night life is not that great as everything will be closed by 5:00 pm , only the the gym will be open till 7:00pm other things are not been open like canteen or library or other . The gym is the college is very small with less equipment, and the trainer will not be available most of the time and the timing is not suitable for everyone. The public area in our college is very less as there is not tree sitting area were we can rest in free time it's just an open ground with no trees . The cafeteria is small and it becomes crowded during lunch hour as the space and desk are less for the population. The campus in timings are 8:00 am . The famous hangout places nearby are not great but little bit far away there is beach where we can hangout. The local area is safe to roam around during night ,but not in late night.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
