- The medical college was established on 2020 and the Bsc nursing course started from 2021. Hospital facilities are good enough. Facilities are ok. External faculties are quite helpful. Good social interaction.
Dislikes
- As it is a new college lot of facilities and improvement are required. All the courses are taught under te same building so there is shortage of classroom space. The college situation in a rural area so there is lack of town facilities.
- More faculty is also required. Campus expansion is required
Course Curriculum Overview
As it is a professional course there is vast job opportunities both in the private and public health field. The scope of nursing in the community field is also very significant. Coming to the course curriculum the semester system is little bit difficult than the yearly system so there is more exam packed months. But overall there is more growth opportunities in this course .
Internships Opportunities
As it is a government college so it offers internship in its own hospital along with stipend. The last 6months that is the 8th semester is the internship phase . Internship nurses works in the hospital in several departments during the training period.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it is a government college the course fee for bsc nursing is very minimal. It may vary yearly and is maximum upto 300 per year. All types of fees are included in that amount except for dress, personal articles and books. Various government sponsored scholarship are available like svmcm, oasis ets.
Campus Life
The annual program of our college is the lamp lighting program. Othe program such as annual sports, fresher's, foundation day are also held. We have a room for library and books on the nursing subjects are available there. We have Students nurse association to organise and manage the students activities.
Admission
In west bengal the one entrance exam is held for getting admission in Bsc Nursing and other graduation level paramedical courses. Then name of the exam is JENPAS- UG. After that counselling process starts for getting admission in both government and private colleges. I got this college in the same order. I took chose this college as it was a government college along with Medical college and hospital.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is little bit less as the amount of students are increasing every year. There are all total 8 semester in bsc nursing in which 2 internal exams are held in each semester along with the final exam in f every semester. These exams include both theory and practical exam. Most of the students pass the exam. The fail rate is very less.
Night Life
Hostels for the Bsc nursing students are not available till now. Students life in the PGs and mess nearby. The locality is not safe at night as it is a rural area so the locality is vacant at night. Street lights are also not available.
