Course Curriculum Overview

I studied BSc(Chemistry) here and BSc(Chemistry) is a course where I also studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics too in my first year and then in the last year my specialization was Chemistry.

Placement Experience

There is very little placement in our college because it's a college where you can pursue graduation and take admission in another college for your post graduation.

College Events

There are many events are organized in the college, in which NCC camps, NSS activity, and different quizzes and intercollege and intra college games and sports are also organized. Different seminars and Workshops are also organized.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are very feasible here in this college for all courses of BSc. It costs around only Rs. 12000 rupees for the whole course, which is 4000 rupees per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, scholarships are also available for the deserving students. Most of the scholarships are caste based here so students who belong to SC/ST, OBC candidates. There is merit based scholarship is also available.

Campus Life

Campus life includes different programs and games and competitions. College also organises different skill development program, student support services, Libraries and laboratories are also present in the college campus.

Admission

For the admission in this college, there is no tough procedure because I did my intermediate and then searched about the colleges in my area for pursuing my graduation and found this college and took admission by filling the form and submitting the fees.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
