Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose to pursue my course in this college because I found the course curriculum highly relevant to real-world applications. Subjects like programming prepare students to the needs of the corporate world. Discrete mathematics inculcates problem solving skills in the students . The course structure is highly dynamic with each semester introducing new subjects to the students.

Internships Opportunities

4

The university is in collaboration with many companies. The OP Jindal group and biotechnology giant BIOCON themself invested in this college. The college also hosts Chanakya Studios at the end of the semester which allows students to hone their academic and non-academic skills.

Placement Experience

3

The students of BCA/BBA have and option to get placed after 6th sem (3rd year) or continue their studies till 8th sem (4th year). The students who puruse the course for 8 semesters graduate with and 'Honours' degree whime students who study till 6th sem graduate with regular degree. The college has a reputed placement cell that strives to ensure that every student gets placed. The college will have its first batch graduating in 2025 and most of the students are expected to get placed in reputable and hight paying companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have taken admission in the BCA (hons) course. The initial fees is 5000? (registration fees. The overall tuition fees is 145000 for one year. Most courses have a similar fees structure. Also myy college provides 100% scholarship for financial weak students (I know this because some of my friends have availed this scholarship). This year all students (including myself) got a concession of 30000? on merit basis (10th and 12th marks). The criteria for this merit was 75% in 10th and 12th standard.

Campus Life

4

Chanakya University has a very dynamic campus. The crowd of the college is very colorful with students hailing from very state of the country and even aboard. The administration ensures that all festivals are celebrated in the campus with great enthusiasm. The college have student-run social groups called clubs. These clubs are great platforms to share ideas on different subject matters.the college boasts a large sports arena with all sorts of sports. The college also has gym accessible to bost boys and girls.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels provide both 3 sharing and 2 sharing accomodation with non-attached and attached bathroom. The hostel has a biometric attendance system and wardens are always ready to help with any issue faced by students. The hostel students have access to an application on their cell phones which allows them to apply for grievance and leaves.

Admission

This university provides a platform for holistic development unlike most of the colleges that either focus solely on academics or personal development. Also one of the main reasons of why I chose this college is the fees structure. The fees of this college is very reasonable as compared to other esteemed college that are at par with it. I got selected in Manipal University, Bengaluru and Narsi Monjee, Mumbai but the fees of TAPMI and NMIMS was too high for me.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is 1:20. This college has divided one academic year into two semesters. The final semester exam has a weightage of 40% of overall semester marks. The remaining 60% included internal assessments, assignment, attendance and mid-semester exams. The exam difficulty is moderate to easy, courtesy of the faculty members and their way of teaching which allows students to grasp the the concepts effectively.

Interview Experience

3

The admission process consists of a written test (online) which is not very difficult. After qualifying for this test we have to appear for a Personal Interview round. For students applying for scholarship there is also an ans SET (scholarship Entrance Test).

Night Life

3

Because the campus is far off from the city, to ensure the safety of the students, the campus in timing 7:30 PM in the evening. Though the hostel remains open till 10:00 PM allowing students to access library and enjoy rich green scenic campus avenue.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Speaking about course curriculum that had a different story like I wanted to become a doctor and I belong to a biology background in my puc but I had some health issues that's the reason I couldn't attend my NEET exam also I couldn't waste one complete year so that's the reason I chose BCA. But once I joined I realised tat it was that difficult and it actually became my interest. Curriculum provides a set of courses where students can first understand about each course and then look into the courses and select any of those depending on their interest. So I feel that's required and that's very important for every student. I would suggest to give a demo to students which means to tell them wat all a particular course has, what all students can take, and to tell them which career opportunities which course provides. We had 60 marks paper with 2.3 hours of time it wasn't that difficult only if uh are prepared. Again it all depends on the preparation and hard work of the students. The question paper is made considered the average students as well. So it wasn't that difficult until you get familiar with the subjects.
