My college experience

Positive remarks would include things like the infrastructure of the entire campus and the vibes in the campus are positive and refreshing with all the students and cool atmosphere.Some negative things would be the location is a bit on the outer part of the city and the traveling to in and out of city is a bit troublesome.

The course curriculum is old and needs to be changed and upgraded depending on the upcoming technologies. The exam structure is basic and hasn't changed much since a long time. The external exams are checked in University.

The placements are good in this college, it nearly has 100% placements every year. I personally have appeared for numerous interviews including some big mnc. Internship is provided by the company that visits for recruitment.

There are many events that are celebrated in the Sinhgad Insititute. The biggest fest is Karandak, this is usually held in February every year. It has many events like concerts, sports events, technical events and so on.

Fee structure is not as expensive as other colleges. There are reduced rates for reserved quotas, if you belong to a backward class then you can already get fee allowances and reduced fee amount. You can also opt for scholarship and etc.

One good loan facility that is provided is work and earn. In this scheme the students are allowed to work and earn on a daily basis. By this they can earn money as well get reduced fee amount to be paid.

There are inter college sports activites or competitions. Various sports like football, cricket, table tennis, swimming etc competitions. are held. Students may participate in their liking of sport and compete.

Alumnis are invited once or twice a year to conduct seminars or sessions for newly joined students. They inform the students about what they are going to be facing in their course. Senior students are friendly and really helpful related to academics.

We just have to qualify the CET exam for the cutoff of the college for MCA. Minimum percentile was 30 for the college. I had 91 percentile and so taking admission was easy for me as I had a fairly higher percentile than required.
