TAE Pune Admission Dates 2026

Admissions to TAE Pune for the 2026-27 session are anchored by DTE Maharashtra CAP rounds for B.E., and by separate MAH MCA CET and GATE-based counselling for MCA and M.E. respectively. All allotments are processed through cetcell.mahacet.org.

TAE Pune Courses and Fees

TAE Pune offers UG, PG, and doctoral programmes in engineering and computer applications, all affiliated to SPPU and regulated by the Maharashtra Fee Regulating Authority (FRA). The B.E. fee of INR 4.28 Lakhs applies uniformly across all branches for the four-year programme.

TAE Pune Admission Process

All admissions at TAE Pune flow through DTE Maharashtra centralised allotment processes. There is no direct admission for B.E., M.E., or MCA at the institute level. Seat distribution follows DTE Maharashtra norms: 70% Government CAP seats, 15% management quota, and 15% NRI quota.

B.E. Admission

Eligibility for B.E. requires passing 10+2 (HSC) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories). A valid MHT CET or JEE Main score is mandatory for CAP seat allotment.

• Seat allotment is issued round-wise based on merit rank and option form.
• Report to TAE Pune with original documents within the reporting window for each round.
• Pay fees and confirm admission at the institute.

MHT CET closing percentile at TAE Pune for Computer Engineering and IT typically falls in the 60 to 80 percentile range for General Category based on recent cycles. Civil and Mechanical cutoffs tend to be lower.

MCA Admission

MCA eligibility requires a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 or degree level, with a minimum 50% aggregate. Admission is through MAH MCA CET score via DTE Maharashtra CAP. MCA at TAE Pune has an intake of 180 seats.

M.E. Admission

M.E. in Construction Management and Design Engineering each have 12 seats. Eligibility requires a B.E./B.Tech in a relevant discipline with a valid GATE score or MAH ME CET score. Admission follows the DTE Maharashtra PG CAP process.

Lateral Entry B.E.

Diploma holders in Engineering with minimum 45% may apply for direct second-year B.E. through DTE Maharashtra lateral entry CAP. All branches of B.E. at TAE Pune accept lateral entry applicants. Total fees for lateral entry are INR 3.21 Lakhs for the three-year duration.

TAE Pune Placements

TAE Pune runs a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that coordinates campus recruitment across engineering, IT, manufacturing, and BFSI sectors. Over 172 companies have visited the campus for recruitment across recent placement seasons.

The highest offer recorded at TAE stands at INR 32 LPA. TCS, HSBC, and a range of mid-sized IT and engineering firms have participated in campus drives. The placement cell also organises aptitude training, mock interviews, and soft-skills workshops starting from the second year.

TAE Pune Campus and Infrastructure

TAE Pune is located at Bopdev Ghat on the Kondhwa-Saswad Road, approximately 12 km from central Pune. The campus houses engineering laboratories, smart classrooms, a central library, and student activity spaces for IEEE, SAE, and ISTE chapters.

The campus has Wi-Fi connectivity, a cafeteria, and sports facilities. TAE Pune does not have on-campus hostel accommodation. Students are expected to arrange private accommodation in nearby residential areas along the Kondhwa-Saswad Road corridor. Pune’s bus network and shared cab routes connect the campus to Kondhwa, Hadapsar, and the city centre.

TAE Pune vs Sinhgad Academy of Engineering vs JSPM JSCOE Pune

Aspirants shortlisting TAE Pune through MHT CET CAP rounds often also consider Sinhgad Academy of Engineering (SAE) and JSPM’s Jayawantrao Sawant College of Engineering (JSCOE), both SPPU-affiliated private colleges in Pune with comparable fee structures and CAP admission processes.

TAE Pune stands out for its large MCA intake of 180 seats and its newly added AI and ML branch, which may appeal to applicants targeting IT-oriented pathways. SAE Kondhwa and JSPM JSCOE both offer on-campus hostel facilities, which is an advantage for outstation students.
