Likes

I mostly like the teachers co-operative nature in UCET
I like the area surrounded with different herbs and shrubs.
I spent lot of time in library ,so library is a place you can opt for and utilise your proper time.

Dislikes

College infrastructure is not good , practical submission and lot more activities that disturb the mindset
Placement cell are not good ,no companies visit for on campus placement
No any event like no club for coding , cultural club

Course Curriculum Overview

According to me course curriculum according to me is very good . In 1st two semester we were dealing with chemistry, physics but from 3 rd we started our core subjects that really helps me . Timing of exams vary every year as if the session is late for any reason you are hard to have to complete semester within 3 months also.

Internships Opportunities

There are no any opportunities given from college side ,yes if they got any news that this company is looking for intern they circulate information among whatsapp group. Every student experiment ???? there life ????.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am General so I pay full tution fee as per specified two semester in one year . There are division among categories such as if any one having Tution fee waiver(TFW) and EWS he /she payment only 14,000 as per semester. Also there are scholarship of EKalyan who originally give scholarship around 75,000 to students. Also anyone can get scholarship from AICTE Pragati scholarship,Swami Dayanand Foundation and many more.

Campus Life

I am not residing in campus hostel as it was difficult for me to get into hostel that time as everyone was saying hostel is full no any rooms are left there for residing and generally only ST community get hostel very easily. As there is no any club .Yeah just for the sake of club one club is there just for cultural which means organising freshere and farewell and nothing else

Admission

Basically I want to study in my residence area so I have opted for two college only i.e BIT Sindri and UCET as both are mentioned in government college . So I got my 1 st round councelling merit list and I got UCET . without second thought ,I started my application process and got admission.

Faculty

In this college the best thing according to me is faculties concern towards each student . Any student who are facing any issue he/she directly visit to Head of department and concerned faculties of subjects. I myself like the faculties of Natural language processing Prof .Arun Kumar Mishra. He is best guide in my journey. There are total 40 exams including internal and external. There are

Night Life

I generally prefer to jheel ,and vishal Mega Mart and many more places such as trimurti for evening snack ????. Outside the hostel I am only out for just for walk .Girls hostel closed after 8:00 clock so not possible to stay away .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction.
