Course Curriculum Overview

3

First of all its a doctor course. It has its own respect and recognition. Clinical practice is provided where you are exposed to various case conditions. You diagnose those give treatment and some requires special diagnostic methods like xray usg blood gas analysis, etc. Clinics can be improved from first year atleast the baskcs of clinics is my suggestion. Till 3rd year you have exams every 2 months in final year exams comes every 3 months. There will be viva for practicals along with written. At the end of internship there will be a final viva including all the departments and written test.

Internships Opportunities

1

Internship training is for a year. You have to work 360 days with just 15 casual leave with prior permission and 11k stipend every month. Accommodation fee in certain places are 5k. Some farms experience zoonotic outbreaks and still interns are forced to work. If leave is taken Internship gets extended. No good facilities are available for interns.

Fees and Financial Aid

Each year the fees is 17000 along with mess bill every month lecture notes fees and other minor fees. Im 4th year the fees is about 27000 because its extends 1.5 year. For BC category the fees is around 8000 rs. Scholarship is available for BC , MBC category. VCI Scholarship is not yet available in our college.

Campus Life

3

Culturals held during june lasts for a month followed by tamil mandram and college day. Culturals include various competitions for which you are given prize on the college day. Apart from that freshers and farewell is conducted. Reference books journals all over india competitive exam books are available. Reference section books cannot be borrowed. ICR is available in class room along with chalkboard. ICT is conducted yearly. Sports day is conducted near to college day along with many events. Art club and music club are present in the college but not so active.

Hostel Facilities

1

Hostel facility is fine. Food is just ok ok type. Aunties clean the hostel daily. Menu mainly includes rice vadai sambar etc. Items like chicken paneer mushroom will cost extra. The locality is not safe for girls to rent outside. If you are caught un any ill doing you may even be expelled out of hostel. Rules are strictly imposed onto us and our voices are not heard.

Admission

I applied for agriculture and veterinary after completing NEET. I got into agriculture and veterinary at the same time.I chose veterinary because its a better option. I applied for veterinary colleges in mumbai but couldnt get into because of the allotment criteria of VCI which im not very sure of. In my college state quota admission is based on 12th marks and vci quota based on NEET marks. You need an all india rank of atkeast 61k to get into veterinary if you are from general category. TANUVAS os the best University for veterinary.

Faculty

2

The staffs are mostly PhD holders. They are knowledgeable. But they are conservative. Boys and girls being friends are often misunderstood. Exams include 3 internals and boards eith practicals. Best 2 out of internals are selected. I like ram kumar sir of medicine department the most. He is an easy going guy who is soft on students and has great knowledge. Jitss i hate the most. The worst person anyone could encounter. Examss are usually tough. Students usually study a day before exam and you get exhausted a lot. Syllabus is vast. Some of the faculties are approachable others have huge ego issues.

Night Life

1

Gym is present nearby but only for boys. Plenty of little shops selling fast food are present but hygiene cannot be ensured. No library is present nearby. Girls have to enter by 6:30 pm and 8:00pl for boys. Thanjavur periya kovil is a famous spot. Girls are not allowed outside at night but boys donot have any such restrictions. Any college in tamil nadu boys have all the freedom and Girls are kept inside a cage.

Other Applied Colleges

Kerala Agricultural University, College of Horticulture Vellanikkara | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Agriculture)

I got a better seat in veterinary

I love pets ,so from childhood itself I want to serve for that voiceless beautiful creatures, and we all know that agriculture is the backbone of nation, and more over agriculture and livestock is inseparable so that's why I chose this course to serve for the farming community. Faculty and students ratio is 10:80, and all the teacher were kind enough to teach us and clearing our doubts with care, we have trimester pattern and one annual board exam, it was little tough but with the help of our teachers we passed our exams with good marks.
