Course Curriculum Overview

3

The moment i saw the course curriculum of my college was so attractive. The courses, activities, extra curricular activities mentioned at curriculum was so satisfying that gave me a confidence to join this institution

Fees and Financial Aid

I have joined bachelor of commerce in the year 2016 at Bangalore University and took a specialisation of basic maths in the first semester. According to the fee structure i have paid 50000 per year for three years. There were merit seats who scored 95% and above in their pre University. They had to pay 5000 each year for their education which is different from other students.

Campus Life

4

College used to start in June with few club inauguration. Which makes students to manage both club activities and studies at the same time. There was a library including internet hub since, mobile phones were not allowed in the college students were appreciated to use this forum in order to support their studies

Admission

I didn't applied to any other college other than bangalore university college. because the teaching structure and student teacher relationship which i heard from others made me to choose this college. Coming to admission procedure it took me around half a day to complete the admission process which was fast and smooth

Faculty

4

Students for bachelor's of commerce were around 750 members and the faculties were around 50 including mentors for each class. Student teachers relationship were so friendly and it was easy to approach few faculties if there was any difficulty in studies. The faculty which i liked most is my native language kannada faculty who is more supportive. With their help i was able to attend many competition and able to won prizes. The faculty which i didnt like the most is accounts faculty, who had little knowledge about that subject and was too fast in teaching which i was not able to follow. Coming to exams structure there were 2 internals in each semesters and mostly conducted in afternoon. Students ratio at failing the exams was little less because the course material was so relatable to the exam question paper

Night Life

4

In my college gym was ment to use by sport students for inter college competition. I was used to spend my college days more in library because me and my friends were love to read books. Sometimes we used to attend forums and programmes at auditorium we were able to watch different people from different areas like hospitals, social workers, actors

Placement Experience:

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
