- Caste dominant environment where some of the high position are decided based on caste
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well designed for us according to what the industry expects (although they don't invite companies for placement) and also it helps students to grab opportunities for higher education.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure in SASTRA university is different from what I've seen in other colleges, there is a constant increase of 5% of initial semester fees for the upcoming semesters ex. If the fee for first sem is 75,000 then the fee for next sem is 75,000+ (5% of 75,000)
Campus Life
There are many clubs in SASTRA for students activities and there is a dedicated building for students activity which is SAC (student activity centre) and for every department there will be a club. Joining clubs will get you more contacts
Admission
I've applied for TNAU counselling and SASTRA university simultaneously but the results for SASTRA university was published before TNAU and were demanding to pay the 1st sem fees to confirm the seats. Also compared to other institutions under TNAU SASTRA has well defined course structure and placement percentage so I opted for it
Faculty
The faculty members are well knowledged and they teach everything that's in syllabus except for few topics which they give as assignment for us to complete. Some are very egoistic, if their ego is being hurt then you are gone
Night Life
This question is irrelevant to SASTRA as there is 0 nightlife, especially for girls they have to be inside the hostel arena within 6 PM and for boys they can roam outside but still be in campus within 10 PM
