From my JEE MAINS result i could have got any college in the country except the IITs and BITS i didn't applied to any other college other than this because i was clear that i want to go to the best NIT of the country which is NIT Trichy. I would have got a seat in any NIT of the country but choose to go with this one because of the rank and placement staticstics of this college and the peer group is also very smart and innovative. I qualified JEE ADVANCED but could'nt secure a good rank to secure a seat in any of the IIT so i think that went wrong for me the admission process was through the JOSSA counselling and CSAB counselling , the exam which is needed to be qualified is the JEE MAINS exam for the B.TECH course. Your rank decided the course you will get in the college the cutoff for general male candidate of other state which i am is around 20-25k rank to get into this college you will get a branch like MME OR PRODUCITON at this rank...Read More

my first choice was nit tricky cuz it was closer to home and a well renowned institution. The rest of my friends mostly applied for private institutions, but couldn't get it cuz of high demand or high fees or quota related issues. The admission process for nit was much more transparent in that aspect. However most of the information was relayed right before the dates we were supposed to report on, so that was a bit stressful.
