Course Curriculum Overview

3

i feel that the course is still a tad bit outdated even though it is an autonumous college, and with older methods of teaching some computer related faculties know the subjects very well and know what they are doing very well the course can include more industry relavent topic and more practical hands on experience rather than theory we usually have had exams in a interval of 1.5-2.0 months

Internships Opportunities

5

i am a first year student and i am not eligible for an internship yet, you can approach the clubs and others after the completion of your first two semester for internships meanwhile you can improve and sharpen your skiils in your respective feilds

Placement Experience

3

eligibility for compus placements is from the 3rd year i guess my college is visited by big tech companies like microsoft, amazon, google, infosys, ibm and many more , and other companies like shoba group of constuction, l&t, bosch, startups like: swiggy, razorpay and many more around 85% students secure a placement and abt 600 offers are guven annually average package is 7lpa ig and top is 55 lpa ig

Fees and Financial Aid

yearly fees through comedk is about 310000(Appox) management quota fees is about 25L one time payment + yearly fees odd year exam fees (like1st yr, 3rd year, 5th year) is 1500 kcet fees is 83000, if iam not wrong I have seen the readily support and promote vit scholarship

Campus Life

4

we have may fests and events organised by students, the college organisation and clubs like the whackiest hackthon which was a week ago, hosted by codeRIT Club the blood donation scheme by nss today UTSAV: THE ANNUAL FEST for dance music drama and so much more KARNATAKA RAJOSTAVA EVENT TECH FESTS LIKE AAROHAN

Admission

i had a comedk rank of below 10 thousand, and i had many choices to pick from but this college seemed ideal as it was close to me and has a good reputation in the industry they accept comedk kcet and boards(for nri and some other students) exams and the admission process was pretty smooth

Faculty

3

faculty : most faulty members hold postgraduates my teacher are approachable for academic help and other guidances, iam from ise department course structure: we have 2 sems in a yr and we have to choose 2 electives for the each sem in the first year and the core subjects are same as other colleges in labs we have plenty of working equipment for everyone to work indivisually exams: in a sem we have 2 cie(30marks) and 1 end sem(100 marks) along with internals, all of these marks are finally reduced to a total of 100 for each subject

Night Life

4

the campus is well placed in the centre of the city and one of the more active and lively parts of the city especially during nights there are many restraunts cafes and gyms and clothing and other stores which are open till 10 or even later sometimes 1 in the night and the area is well lit and good amount of police to ensure law is followed

Placement Experience:

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placement on final year, they have to maintain their grad points in every semister about 8 for a good package. Even some times grade points level down in front of skills and other courses made externally, so skill development is most important. Some of the companies like Wipro, L and T, Isro, Tech mahindra, Skanray, Keynes and so on were their on campus. But our many faculties help every student who is need of a job, with every possible off campus placements. Placment department are trying their best for all skilled, top rank and low rank students for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .
