My COLLEGE

The college is not only the best college in the area but also one of the best college in West Bengal. The undergraduate section is superb. Post graduation section needs more upgradation in upcoming years.

It is a full autonomous college now. Both under graduate and Post Graduate section follow semester system. Two semesters in a calendar year happen generally in June and December. The evaluation in good enough.

Although it's a general degree college there are some placement opportunities come here every year. That's not really a problem. But the college should concentrate more on giving internship to the PG students especially.

There are several occassion celebrated here, ex- independence day, republic day. Science day, college foundation day, birth anniversary of famous personalities etc. Different programs are arranged for this purpose.

The fee structure in the Under graduate section is fine. But the fees structure of the post graduate section is quite high. All of the post graduate courses are self financed course. The college authority should take necessary measures to decrease fees.

I have not opted any scholarship from the college. But there are several scholarship scheme available for poor but meritorious students. They can easily avail that. But there is no loan facility available as of now.

Beside curriculum there are several extracurricular activities organised by the college. The activities include workshop, seminars, sports events and different cultural events. Students can easily participate in those events.

No I haven't opted for hostel facility. Hostel facility is available here at a minimum price. The infrastructure of the hostel is also very good. The rooms are good also. Different facilities also available inside the hostel.

Yes there is a alumni association in the college. Every year they perform a annual meeting. Several programs are organised by them every year. They are very much active. They also do different social work every year.

I got admission through entrance exam after Graduation. There is separate system for admission in Graduation and Post Graduation. In Graduation direct admission available through merit list but in case of pg you have to follow entrance exam.

The faculties here in very very nice. Every department have not ample amount of faculties here. That's the major problem here. The government should take necessary measures to solve this problem. Otherwise there is no problem.
