Course Curriculum Overview

The college provide almost all kind of course for bachelor's degree including Geography, Assamese, History, Education, economic ,Biology, zoology etc. only commerce is not available there . The seat capacity is different for all the courses.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly it goes around 10,000 without any scholarship or reservation. If you are from SC/ST category then you will get relaxation. Hostel addmission fees is around 7000 but after that monthly it becomes less.

Hostel Facilities

D.C.B. Girls' College in Jorhat offers hostel facilities to accommodate outstation students.The hostel, known as "Devi Nivas," aims to provide a comfortable and safe living environment for its residents. A dedicated Hostel Warden and matrons reside on campus to oversee the well-being of the boarders and are accessible at all times.

DCB Girls' College might have a strong academic record or be known for quality education .The college have experienced and reputed faculty members. And the environment is also very friendly and good for the students

Faculty

All the teaching and non-teaching staffs are very friendly to the students. Also they provide all the materials for the students to study so it's not really tough to score good marks. All bachelor's course are for 3 year.

Night Life

There's not any night life actually because outing is allowed once in a week that to only for day time. Phone is not allowed in hostel. And the campus is also not very big to explore at night . So we can say that there's not any night life.

Full of pros and cons

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is well balanced and structured providing theoretical knowledge. It's all based on the new education policy 2020. However, I do believe it needs ratification in some aspects. Also, it does prepares us for real world applications and ofcourse it'll help students like us in the long run because of increasing competition. I feel rather than pressurising students teachers must put real life examples into account. Moreover exams must be conducted properly time to time with proper gaps in between

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had a great interest in field of media, I always loved talking and so I choose this exploring field of mass communication and I also applied for the same course in most of the colleges previously. I must write this here that our department really has the most coolest and understanding faculties and the students, my super seniors, immediate seniors, juniors and my batchmates we all share a warm relationship and try to connect and together are a family away from home. We have currently 5 faculties and each of them are expertise in their main subject and I would review the teaching method 4 out of 5. Our Term exams were on time and mostly the theory papers are of 100 marks and practical ones 50 marks. Seriously you don't have to struggle if you are an average student but if you really want to score decent marks you need to study hard for that.

Good college. Its the best college near my home. Its graded A by NAAC. This college have good result always under Dibrugarh University. Not so far from my home. A beautiful campas the college have. The Girls of Devicharan's

I applied for J.B college/University. There is didn't admission due to high cut off system and caste reservation. I applied there for political science aswell. I also applied in bahona college there i got seat for English Hons. But I was not sure with English as my honours so I choosed DCB girls college and I got admission in my desired course. The cut off was not high, no entrances are held here. Teachers were helpful during the admission process. DCB Girls'College is one of the oldest, popular and best women college of upper Assam.

You are eligible to apply, if your percentage is above 50% in biology and there is no entrance exam. Students gets seats according to their percentage, the more your percentage, the more you have chance to get seat .
